It's possible but it would be uncomfortable as hell. Maybe a beyond vertical launch? I dont want to go up a slow lift having all the blood flow to my head.

in a seated position or standing position, a beyond vertical launch would create G-forces sending blood into the brain, similar to negative G's. this is dangerous over about 2 Gs, and can cause aneurysms or death. (the human body is much better at withstanding positive Gs, that is, forces that push blood away from the brain).

a greater than 90 degree launch would be cool for a flying coaster, though.

^ I saw one of those in a TR once. I think I'd prefer the Premier Sky Rocket II. Models like the one you showed seem fun but definitely awkward coming off the lift.

Ah yeah you're right.

Either way a beyond vertical incline sounds ridiculously uncomfortable.

They are fun, but since the seats angle backwards slightly you get all the blood rushing towards your head during the lifthill, and by the time you get to the top of it during the inversion you feel like your head is going to explode. They are fun coasters, but I can only ride them a few times each visit before I end up with a headache.

G force at Drayton Manor has one too, and unlike the one in the previous post it doesn't have enough time going vertical to make the blood rush to your head (I think)

The G-Force lift hill is bizarre, in fact the whole ride is insane. I definitely would not want to go on a ride with a longer lift hill of that nature.

Umm. Yeah, that ride is an example as to what you should NOT do with a coaster. Yes, the blood does rush to your head and with the Maurer Söhn harness it is one of the least comfortable ride experiances I have had. However it is still the best and most comfortable part of the whole ride. If you go, ride Shockwave instead!

I'm not sure if it has something to do with bodyshape, but the skyloops are more intense than uncomfortable when it comes to the beyond vertical part of the lift, since you "fall" into the lapbar and at 50m up it's probably the most realistic feeling of falling and panic you can get on a coaster.

It would be incredibly uncomfortable with an OTSR though
