coasterdude5 Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 I was on Superman: Ultimate Flight a couple of days ago and as we were going into the pretzel loop something got pulled in my leg and I've been in a limp ever since. The pain is pretty much constant. I loved the ride and just wasnted to know has this ever happened to andybody and is there a way to prevent it. Thanks in advance!!
coasterguy618 Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 That happened to me when i was going up the lift. It hurt so bad!
MSLSM Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 I think that happened to me. I was in a turn, and all of a sudden something happens to my leg. I was wondering what the heck just happened. My leg was not sore, but it felt weird.
Chris Benvenuto Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 The only leg problems i've had on roller coasters is the leg numbing helix on Raptor near the end, it gives me a numb sensation in both legs every time i ride it.
alpengeist04 Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 It sounds like it could be a muscle strain. You probably tensed up your leg while entering the pretzel loop. I would just take it easy for a week or so. You could also use a heating pad. P.S. Come to think of it, I remember feeling it in my hip flexor when I rode it at Great Adventure.
M_Force_4_ever Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 something similar happened to me once, thats one of the reasons I dont ride S:UF much anymore
deathmole Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 It happened to me on AIR (another flyer at Alton Tower's) a few week's ago, during the "lying on your back" section, the top of my leg's really started hurting, it was damned uncomfortable, which is strange - it's never happened before. It also stopped me being able to get back over to Oblivion before closing time due to running being uncomfortable, jiggery!
coasterdude5 Posted October 10, 2005 Author Posted October 10, 2005 Drink more water!!! Four 16 ounce glasses a day! I love water. Thanks for the reply everybody! Glad I'm not the only one.
Guest Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 On X-Flight, I used to cramp up in my hips and legs, and the key I found is let yourself just go against the restraints. A lot of people try to hang on. I rode in May, and just made sure to not hang on and put my body totally against the restraints and not the seat. Katie
What Now Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 That can happen at any time. I believe that is what some would call a 'Charley Horse'. Eat more food with Potassium, like Bannanas or raisens.
