The Angry Darren Mullins Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 August 24, 2015: Euro Park I went to Euro Park near Jinan today. There are nine coasters here. I would ride eight of them thanks to the ride op not letting me go on Childrens Coaster. Battle of Blue Fire, a Blue Fire clone from Mack,is easily the best ride in this park. I rode it four times. The launch is very intense and the ride is very smooth. Mack has done an excellent job with this ride. Twister is an SLC that was very rough. I rode the same design at Happy World in Fuzhou last year and loved it, so I had high hopes this one. I was let down. The mine train here was unlike any other mine train I have been on. It is nice to see the Chinese do something different with their coasters. Galaxy Coaster is a spinning coaster with theming that was inspired by Space Mountain. Again, it is good to see the Chinese do something different. I really liked this coaster. Motor Coaster is very rough. It is a knockoff of the Vekoma motor bike coasters. I didn't really enjoy it, except for the launch. Spinning Coaster is a mouse coaster. I have been on others like it. I am not sure why they copy these designs so much here. Crazy Snow Board is a nice ride, but I would not want to see it in every park. White Horse Coaster was heavily themed inside a building, but I thought it was a bit rough. I didn't enjoy it. In all, I added eight coasters to my track record and I am now at 954 coasters. I just have 46 more to go before I reach the magic roller coaster. Today will be a big day for adding credits to my track record. This will be my first ride of the day. I have been wanting to ride this for a while. Mack does a great job with mega coasters. The White Horse coaster is in a building. It is very rough. Childrens Coaster would have been the third coaster of the day, but the ass clown running it would not let me ride. I had a good experience on a ride just like this last year. This one was a bit rough. Crazy Snowboard became my second of this type of coaster. I am not sure that I want to see these all over China. The mine train had a lot of theming. I found this ride to be very smooth. Motor Coaster became my third coaster of this type and my second knock off version of the ride. I rode this, but I have been on several of them already. Galaxy Coaster is a huge spinning coaster that tries to be Space Mountain. It is actually a lot of fun. The boat chute ride gets riders very wet. This will finish the TR.
GeorgeT Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Hello and thanks for the report ! Just a quastion : Did you eventually compare a real SLC with a knockoff ? The one that you showed looks like a copy ! Good to hear how much you enjoyed Blue Fire. But some additional themeing would habe been nice IMHO Greeds...George
The Angry Darren Mullins Posted August 31, 2015 Author Posted August 31, 2015 No. I did not compare an SLC with a knockoff. The one at Euro Park is a knockoff. The one I compared it with at Happy World is also a knockoff and is by the same company I think.
cfc Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Looks like a decent park with a pretty good coaster selection.
robbalvey Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Interesting how some of the park looks VERY well themed, but other parks of it look kinda crappy. Nice report, though!
TBpony414 Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 The castle in the first picture is Frozen-esque! Looks like you practically got the park to yourself, too bad about the kiddie coaster.
The Angry Darren Mullins Posted August 31, 2015 Author Posted August 31, 2015 I had much of the park to myself. Motor Coaster had an hour wait due to the slow crew. Blue Fire had less than a 30 minute wait. Crazy Snowboard had a five minute wait. The mine train had a 30 minute wait. Twister, White Horse, Spinning Coaster and Galaxy Coaster were all walk ons. The midway areas were totally empty.
gisco Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 The park doesn't look very busy. The crowds must have been in the queue for the few rides that had a wait.
