Okay everybody it's that time of year where theme parks around the world start putting on Halloween events and it just so happens that last night was the second night of Busch Gardens Tampa's Howl-O-Scream. Now, in past years its really sucked on another level...and nothing has changed this year! Naww it wasn't too bad, but nothing compared to HHN. So here is a short TR of our night at HOS...Enjoy.

5:30 pm...

Harrison (from my previous BGT PTR), myself, and our loser friends J.P. arrive at Fowler Ave. and decide that instead of getting into the park before it closes and then com back when it re-opens, we head over to the International Mall and pick up some cheese steaks. My what good cheese steaks they were, mmmm....

Along the way back to the car we all pick up some Mountain Dews and decide to drink as many as humanly possible (which I think is 64 before you keel over and die) before the night was over. So we hop in the car and head back over to BGT.

7:15...

We arrive at the entrance, buy our fancy HOS tickets, and stand in line to get into the park (which was MASSIVE). So we stand around for 15 minutes then they start to let people in and by 7:45 we were in the park.

We ran over to SheiKra, which only had a half hour wait, and quened for it. 30 minutes later we boarded row 1 and got one of the best night rides ever on a coaster. Although most of the track is lit up, it runs faster (at least it felt like it did) and its pretty freekin sweet to dive into a pitch black tunnel. Good stuff, try to get a night ride if you can. We picked up our first BGT Dew of the night, we kinds got wired for w while, but it wore off after about 10 minutes...

We got off the headed over to Kumba and were shocked when we got there...the sight of the station just amazed us, we never knew it was possible for this to happen...WALK ON AT HOS!!!! Man we got at least 10 rides without getting off the train, man I still don't understand how nobody was in line, kinda crazy. Oh yeah we got another Mountain Dew at a Dippin Dots stand.

After Kumba, we headed over to Python for a night ride. At this time, 90% of the people were either too drunk to walk, or too drunk to see, or both for that matter. Some chick fell over and passes out while we were walking, the preceded to throw up all over some guy when she got back up, kinda funny. Okay back to Python. Once again it was a walk on for front row, but as we were walking up to the station we noticed the other train laying around the break run in a state that it looks like it will be re-furbished in the near future, pretty cool. Oh, we also got another Mountain Dew before we did our next HOS thingy...

Next we went and saw the best show ever, FIENDS!!! If there is one show you see at BGT it's fiends. It's a bunch of cool character dancing and singing, and the nurses add a nice touch to the show. Fun stuff...

We were running short on time, so we tried to run all the way back to Motnu before we had to leave, but the line was around 90 minutes so we just decided to leave, and pick up a Mountain Dew.

All in all it was pretty fun. The "scare zones" are put up in places so that you HAVE to go through them, which sucks because the bottle neck effect takes place and people get smashed as though they were at a Who concert. I'll most likely go back next weekend or the weekend after and try to do some haunted houses, as the lines were over 2 hours last night. So if you get a chance, pick up a Mountain Dew and head over to HOS!

I've had walks ons for Kumba! Actually, I've had walks on for Sheikra! Anyways.

You didn't even try to ride Gwazi at night?

If I go to this thing I'm probably just going to do nonstop nightrides on Gwazi Tiger in the backseat! But I won't because I have no way to get there (or, more accurately, get back!) . Anybody want to give me a lift?

wow that's a lot of Mt. Dew. ya know, there were a few malls closer than International, but oh well...mmm..cheesesteaks. glad you had a fun time. I'd go if there was a way to skip the scare zones. since there isn't...I'll stay here thanks.

So HOS sucked despite not experiencing any houses yet?

If anyone goes to HOS, make sure you visit Deathly Departed this year (hey, gotta give a little self-promotion!)

One of the reasons I'm NOT going this year is because it really looks like the same 'ol s***! Most of the houses are recycled (some with slightly different names 'n' whatnot). As an Gold AP holder, I coulda got in for $20 & some change on Thursdays, but STILL don't feel its worth it.

I hope BGT changes it up next year. They need a shake up like Universal did with HHN when it started getting lame.

And Fiends is a great show. Those nurses are H-H-H-HOT! I know the guy that plays the disco dancing Dracula. he's done it for the last 3 years.

Howl o Scream was pretty good but definitely no Horror Nights. Some of the houses were the same as last year( the Mortuary) and some simply changed names(Freaked). Fiends was the same show they had last year, but I agree was worth watching for the pink haired nurses. Haunt me baby one more time, the show at the Desert Grill wasn't as good as the one they had last year that was very funny. Good event but it seemed too much like last year's HOS, but hey I can't complain I got in Free with my Platinum pass for the first two nights!!
