XYZ
Park Information: RCT2 park with no custom scenery and very minimal hacking. This park is inspired by California's Great America and Six Flags Great America. It is based on the 3rd Great America park that was supposed to be built in the Washington DC area. This will become a timeline park once the 1977 updates cover the entire park. The park's history has it opening on 1978, 2 years later than its planned date in 1976 due to efforts to persuade the surrounding community to build the park. This is not a recreation at all of California's Great America or Six Flags Great America. A look at other parks by XYZ: PROJECT I: Playland Park PROJECT II: Murdoch Gardens PROJECT III: Marriott's Great America DC Final Downloads by XYZ: Montezooma's Revenge Recreation [NL] PROJECT II: Murdoch Gardens [RCT2] 1977 UPDATE 1: This post 1977 UPDATE 2: Page 1 Here is the ticket booths of the park with the park entrance in the back. The ticket booths are greatly inspired by the ones built at the Great America parks. Ignore the no entry signs at the gate as I'm keeping peeps from entering the park. The back side of the park entrance. An information building to the right hand side of the park entrance. A store on the left and restrooms on the right. Carousel Columbia and its reflection pool. This is not supposed to be a full-scale version of the carousel, but rather a smaller version of it. The back of the Carousel Columbia. The Pictorium theater. The foliage and scenery has not been added on three sides of the building, this park is still a work in progress. The Pictorium's queue line and an information building on the left side of the photo. This is the end of the 1st update. Thanks for reading and comments are appreciated. Constructive criticism is wanted, the park is a work in progress and I would gladly replace something that does not look appealing. For my other Games threads, Playland Park is still live, but Murdoch Gardens is done. Edited December 27, 2013 by XYZ

liftsifter
Very cool! Is this going to be a recreation of the California Property or the Illinois property? There are some stark differences, surprisingly.

XYZ
This update will take place in the County Fair section of the park. It is in the back of the park, but it is the area that I completed the most. Barney Oldfield Speedway's station. It sure looks complicated, though I specifically made it so that the three queue lines are similar in length. A lake in the back of the park with American Eagle, Scenic Railway, and Barney Oldfield going over it. Interaction between Barney Oldfield and Scenic Railway! Turn of the Century diving into the drop that goes into the corkscrews. American Eagle's entrance building. American Eagle's station, queue, and the very long pre-lift section. This version of American Eagle will be built by Cobb rather than Intamin. Ameri-Go-Round and the Oldfield Café American Eagle's very large helix. Great America's Food Etc: Food Festival! A unique ride among the Great America parks, the Haunted House! This is the end of the 2nd update. Thanks for reading and comments are appreciated. djboss302
Looks good! However, I must say that I think you shouldn't have built American Eagle, because it was only supposed to be an Illinois exclusive. So I was disappointed when you chose American Eagle. In fact I think you should take it out entirely. Maybe put a Schwarzkopf there. So I'm basically saying that building American Eagle is just really unrealistic. Other than that it looks great. Rollercoaster Rider
Who will acquire the park in 1984? Let Me Guess; Legoland?
DarienLaker
Who will acquire the park in 1984? I say Six Flags, like the Illinois Great America park or Kings Entertainment/Paramount/Cedar Fair, like the California Great America!
B.A.B
I really like your buildings and your foilage so far. Although the track after the third drop of the helix on American Eagle should be angle. Like keep the helix the way you have it, just replace the non-angle sections with angle sections. I think it will look way better if you did that. Anyway I can't wait to see more!
Rollercoaster Rider
Turn of the Century had a different colored train Can't wait for the remaining areas.

I like it, so it's staying. (It took me a heck of a long time to make it look nice, so I'm not taking it out.) Also, I really don't see how it is very unrealistic as American Eagle was built in the Illinois park. (In this timeline, SFGAm "copied" AE from the DC park, sorry SFGAm fanboys. ) Who will acquire the park in 1984? Let Me Guess; Legoland? It might be Disney. Who will acquire the park in 1984? I say Six Flags, like the Illinois Great America park or Kings Entertainment/Paramount/Cedar Fair, like the California Great America! The park won't be acquired by Six Flags. I want quality in my RCT2 parks. The buyer of the park will be unique to the Great America parks. I really like your buildings and your foilage so far. Turn of the Century had a different colored train Can't wait for the remaining areas. I based the colors off of this image: http://www.greatamericaparks.com/images/displayimage.php?album=131&pid=1124#top_display_media They look rather beige. B.A.B
Have you tried replacing the track with angle sections? It could just be me, but I just don't know about that helix. It just looks like the cars would be going to fast around the turns and stuff. Anyway I also don't get that you said that this will be different from the rest of Great America parks when clearly its basically resembling Six Flags Great America. I like the park just I don't get it. I hope you know that I am not trying to fight or be rude, I am just a bit confused.

It will be very similar to the two existing Great Americas during the times when Marriott owns the parks since the two Great Americas that were built were near clones. However, when the park gets sold, you will start seeing more glaring differences.
