My friend recently visited North Korea during the Mass games and managed to go to a North Korean theme park. Seems pretty ghetto. Has anyone ridden any coasters in any remote countries? If so, tell us about your experiences.

^^Looking at rcdb photos it looks like the Meisho coasters in the older North Korea park have recently been repainted and trains repaired - looking quite okay actually. Having seen the older pictures I would've refrained from riding but judging by the newer ones I'd do them. Maybe Zamperla had something to do with them as they built the rides for a new park including a Volare and a DiskO.

Yeah. I heard that Zamperla did build quite a few rides in North Korea.

Iraq and Syria aren't isolationist...ripe with a few problems sure but quite open to the world.

You know someone that actually went to NK and saw the mass games?? That I find pretty damn fascinating!

Edit: Ah guess it's a bit easier for you, only Americans I know who saw it (outside political leaders) had to be snuck in.

They don't have to be remote countries to have ghetto parks with ghetto rides. China has a few that come to mind and then there was Nara Dreamland in Japan.
