simon8899 Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 ^As far as I understand it the car/train needs to have a certain speed for the magnetic launch to "pick up" the car/train and accelerate it further. Gerstlauer uses the small drop while others use for example friction tires.
BDG Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 It's mainly done for cost reasons. Launching a train from 0 is incredibly hard and very expensive. Tires are an option, but if there's room for a little drop, why not let gravity do the work?
JimmyBo Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 Amazing pics as always Hanno! I hope everyone gets a beer before they get to ride! They should sell beer in the station right before you ride to add to the theming. I'm sure they would make a pretty penny if they did that. The layout of this ride is amazing and Tripsdrill never fails when it comes to theming. Jimmy "Amazing Coaster!" Bo
TBpony414 Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 Great report Hanno! Wonderful pictures, as always. I am impressed with the details on the trains, especially loving that the back of them lights up like a rocket. Does "Karacho" mean anything?
Max0815 Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 Does "Karacho" mean anything? "Karacho" is a german word for "a lot of power". Our german singer, named Heino, performed "Karamba, KARACHO, ein Whisky" in 1969: http://www.zappinternet.com/video/yegNjiNveN/Heino-Karamba-karacho-ein-Whisky
EPfan1 Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 Karacho means more or less the same as Full Throttle ( not the coaster, though )
CpBluestreakCp Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 Looks like a great coaster, just enough for this park. Can't wait to see it with theming. I already really love the trains.
TheStig Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 I'm really really really looking forward to riding this now!!!
Anything Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 Looks like there's some great moments on that ride.
