NieSch
Hi all! Through the years playing RCT(2) I made many coaster designs. ianfreddie07
Some of these designs are very nice. Wicked Dipper's nice, although you had enough track to make a block brake run at the end. Frigatebird's Flight... loved the flow of the track from the first drop up to the loop. It was fun to watch. The batwing and the half-loop + twist were unnecessary and only added more intensity IMO. Dynamite Train's good, though the brakes right after the last drop... not my cup of tea. Too sudden. I liked Shangri-La a lot. It could've had a MCBR after the 4th drop and a bit more twisty track in the end, but it's great. Support work's also nice even without custom scenery. Roaring Beast... fast, exciting, intense. The loop was well-timed, the water splash was a nice addition. Liked the layout even though IMO it's a bit too spaced out. It also would've been better with the regular Wooden RC trains. Pharaoh Frenzy's a good reel. Great flat land addition. Daredevil's a great 4D, the only flaw I could find being the 2nd run (after the MCBR) is way too short. A.I.R. is very good. I don't have any complaints with it except for the 2nd helix. Probably redundant. But it's nice. Mister Twister's pretty good, though it could fit more than 1 train in the circuit easily. Dragonfly probably would've also benefited from a MCBR. I particularly liked how some designs felt smooth and free-flowing. Keep building! RCT2day
Dragonfly was easily the best, though the park that you had for it could have been up to the same caliber as the coaster. You can do better with the names, though (I assume English is not your first language). Just way too much alliteration and it sounds like an in-game name from the creators. If you're serious about improving, look at real coasters and just to recreating those layouts or elements. Overall, cool stuff.
tdub96
Dragonfly (and the mini-park that you also posted) were easily the biggest gems in the bunch.
NieSch
Thanks a lot for the comments. I really appreciate both the compliments and criticisms. I realize there are a lot of rollercoaster fanatics/experts on this forum, obviously. I myself am more of a RCT fanatic. (I only visit a few themeparks each year.) That's probably why realism isn't my main concern when building rollercoasters in RCT. I'm concentrating more on making a nice looking layout, a ride that's fun to watch, something original but at the same time with that typical "RCT-feeling" to it that I like so much. (That's why I don't use custom scenery, and that's also why I like to choose alliterating names for my tracks. )
A.J.
I'm really sorry about this, but I have to lock this topic. The Terms of Service state that you aren't allowed to post links to websites outside of Theme Park Review until you have 50 posts. You need to go in and edit your post. We have a Game Exchange where you can upload your tracks and link to them regardless of your post count. Change your download links to the Game Exchange and I'll check on them and unlock/bump your topic back up if they're good. Thanks!
NieSch
I uploaded the tracks to the game exchange and changed the downloadlinks. But there seems to be a problem. When I download the .TD6 tracks from the exchange, my computer makes PDF files of them. (This is also the case for RCT2-tracks other users have uploaded.) Edit: I don't have this problem when I use Internet Explorer as a browser. (Normally I use Firefox.)

NieSch
I proudly present my 25th coasterdesign. They're two rides in one, the large watchtower being the eye-catcher. There are two ways to go up: the elevator and the stairs. Going down can be done in a third way as well: in free fall 45 meters straight down! Diving Falcon [stats rollercoaster] [stats elevator] (Click to enlarge.) The guests leave the exit of the ride at ground level and the empty trains are being transported up, inside the tower. With footpaths, elevator and rollercoaster, it's crowded inside the tower. The screenshot above also shows where the guests get on Diving Falcon: see the blue queue line. >>Download.<< The download is a zip-file. It contains the two tracks (both the elevator and the rollercoaster include half of the footpaths and scenery, they're easy to put together) and a park file with the ride functioning in it. The park file requires Time Twister to open it, the two tracks don't (only the classic medieval theming is needed). Please enjoy and tell me what you think about it. NieSch
I made some more videos and uploaded them to my RCT YouTube-account which can be found here. Two of my favorite videos: 4D Coaster Daredevil. (You can see in this video how the position of the cars changes during the ride.) Dragonfly Island. NieSch
New: Rag-time Reverser The reverser rollercoaster is a type of coaster that actually did exist. In his book "The Incredible Scream Machine: A History of the Roller Coaster" Robert Cartmell writes the following about Frank F. Hoover's Reverser in Saltair: "It was a straightforward legitimate roller coaster until the rear wheels swiveled out and around on tracks of their own. Passengers then rode sections backward until the next spin-about. Riders were never sure which way they would face during the run since there were several turning points." Saltair's Reverser operated from 1915 untill 1925. The musical style ragtime (also available as a musical style in RCT) was popular in those years. That's what inspired me to make this "Rag-time Reverser". Ragtime's main characteristic trait is its syncopated, or "ragged" rhythm. Syncopation is a general term for "a disturbance or interruption of the regular flow". This is also exactly what the reverser-elements do; they interrupt the flow of the cars. Rag-time Reverser is fast, wild and intense. Just as you would expect of a ride from the roaring twenties, the first golden age in the history of rollercoasters! (Click to enlarge.) Terry Inferno
Every time I see the Rag-time Reverser, the RCT2 ragtime song plays in my head automatically. Nice touch adding it to the video. Hope to see more like it on rctgo.
XYZ
I think you did a really good job at making a believable layout of this coaster type. Honestly, I never knew this RCT2 coaster type was based off a real coaster.

yay101
Generic much! I really like the layouts! I know I'm late seeing these, but I also really like the Diving Falcon and Giant Giraffe! I like how these coasters are also very realistic! One criticism, I think Rag Time Reverser is an unrealistic name if it was to be made in the 1920s. But your designs are amazing! Keep it up!
