stashua123 Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Advice on coasters and what to do and what not to do. P.S how much are single day admission tickets? Thank You, Joshua
SharkTums Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Ticket prices can easily be found on their website, along with hours and information. Prices will probably go up a bit by next summer as Sea World just announced a price hike and that usually means Busch will as well. It's always better if you can get a combo ticket or annual pass as it will save you some big money. Once you get closer and know you'll really be visiting, feel free to post again and ask for more detailed information.
stashua123 Posted November 2, 2012 Author Posted November 2, 2012 I'm only going for 2 weeks in Clearwater beach. Question how is kumba compared to vortex? I've never been on an inverting B&M coaster. And how's gwazi and shiekra?
cfc Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Kumba is a helluva lot better than Vortex (I assume you mean the ride at Kings Island). Gwazi is pretty rough, even with the Millennium Flyer trains. Sheikra is great.
OCJ48 Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Regardless of when you go, if you like coasters and don't like lines, run to Cheetah Hunt at opening, then hit Montu, then take the skyride to Sheikra. After that, you should be okay, as you'll have hit all the big line attractions. If it's hot, do the water rides before lunch, as they all generate hour waits in the afternoon. The only catch-22 with that is that the animals are much more active in the morning, which is also when the coaster lines are shortest. Plan accordingly.
Moose Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Which day would you guys recommend, Saturday or Sunday?
netdvn Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 Montu is easily the best coaster in the entire park followed by Cheetah Hunt and then Kumba at least in my opinion. Gwazi is skippable and Sheikra's alright. I'm not the biggest dive machine fan so Sheikra wasn't really that impressive outside of the theming. The park is huge. Prepare to do a lot of walking. If you wanna see everything, you may need to spend more than a day at the park. The train and skyride are often overlooked. I highly recommend doing those if you wanna get a look at the animals without paying for a tour. Plus you can get up close and personal to Montu and Sheikra. Despite the park's size, there aren't many flats to choose from. Ride-wise, it's just the coasters and water rides. When do you plan on visiting? I visited on a Sunday in May and walked on to just about everything except Cheetah Hunt (15-20 min wait max). If you're spending two weeks in the area, I'd suggest going on a weekday so you don't have to deal with many crowds.
