mtavenger55 Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 On Saturday May 19, 2012 after work I drove down to Wildwood, NJ to spend the night with my girlfriend & her family at her condo. While there we hit Morey's Piers. It was a fun time. I only got 3 coaster laps in but I enjoyed each one & we also rode the Spring Shot (sling shot) at Adventure Pier & they are always a lot of fun. On to the photos: My favorite amusement park at a beach Morey's Piers! Our 1st stop! For a SLC, this was extremely enjoyable today! I did ride it before the new trains were added & after but something was just different in a good way. Meaning I didn't get a headache after I rode it lol. Just another awesome Chance drop tower. Enough said. Time to ride a Vekoma Boomerang! Yet another well kept Vekoma ride that didn't give me a headache today! Alright Morey's 2 for 2! Let's ride an awesome Jersey Shore woodie! & it was! Great ride & my 1st woodie of 2012! Time for the Spring Shot! It was awesome! Worth the $25 a person, I had to pay for my gf lol. That concluded a fun time at the beach. It wasn't much but I was suffering coaster withdraw after opening day at GADV & was glad my girlfriend was with me since it's rare we can ride rides together. On Friday after work I'm going to hit up Steel Pier (weather permitting) & next week I'm going to Hershey Park to ride Skyrush! My season started slow but it's picking up & going to be a great year!
chadster Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 Morey's My favorite Seaside park. I see they haven't take down the Sky Ride yet, guess no one bought it, lol.

gisco Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 $25 each for Spring Shot seems like a lot for a ride like that. They are fun but I'm not sure I would pay that much for a ride like that.
B&MIntaminGCI Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 I was there that day too, and I was pleasantly surprised at how SMOOTH Great Nor Easter and Sea Serpent were, even Great White felt smoother than usual. It was amazing.
Hockeyman55 Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 I ended up down in WIldwood in the summer of 09 for the weekend to attend a wedding and really had no prior knowledge of what coasters or anything Wildwood had and man was I pleasantly surprised. Our first night as soon as we got there (after a 7 hour drive from North Jersey cause of traffic) We headed to the Great Nor'Easter and I thought it was a fun pretty intense coaster. Was shocked to see a coast er like that on a pier lol. All in all I loved Wildwood and would love to go back some time.
beatle11 Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 I was there that day too, and I was pleasantly surprised at how SMOOTH Great Nor Easter and Sea Serpent were, even Great White felt smoother than usual. It was amazing. I remember reading that they were doing some track work on Nor Easter over the winter. It was running rough last year so I'm glad to hear about the improvement. The Boomerang was definitely very tolerable but quite honestly, I've never had any serious issue with a boomerang.

It was either pay or not go on at all lol. I was there that day too, and I was pleasantly surprised at how SMOOTH Great Nor Easter and Sea Serpent were, even Great White felt smoother than usual. It was amazing. Yes all 3 coasters were surprisingly very smooth today! & I'm not complaining
