ScottBrown
I was up in Washington on a trip and stopped by The Puyallup Fairgrounds to check out the progress being made on the elusive Coaster Thrill Ride as it is gradually being rebuilt from the ground up in phases so that it can run for the two yearly fairs
Angry_Gumball
Looks like a fun little coaster. I love the curves on that last shot.
ScottBrown
The really cool thing is that as this all goes down they are also doing the same to the original Prior and Church trains that run on it and will be keeping them not replacing them
Noxegon
Aye, I have to say I was really surprised by how good a coaster this machine is. Shame its operating season is so short.
ScottBrown
I feel the same way however at least it is still running, only being open a few times a year is way better than being closed
cal1br3tto
I'm glad the fair is dedicated to caring for this charming little coaster, though I'll miss the chipped white paint. The ride was smooth to begin with, but the new wood is even smoother! From a purist standpoint, though, I will admit I regret the addition of individual seatbelts and light padding on the lap bars. Â By the way, I hope someone snatches up Monster Mouse and puts it back in operation!
ScottBrown
I would love to see that as well but sadly those old monster mice seem to be a dying breed in the states especially, if it does get saved it will most likely end up in a third world country where there is no OSHA
RCBoilermaker14
This probaly one of the most unique coaster I've seen. Not for what it is,but where it is and operates.Still,I wish my local fair had a wood coaster. Then I'd go to it.
MrMorgan
Love these pics! I've always found this coaster kind of fascinating. It's not one that many people have ridden, and how odd that it has such a short operating season!?! Cool pictures of it being rebuilt on the spot. Thanks for taking the time to post!
