Came across this in Yahoo....

This huge five-storey slide, which snakes through a Shanghai shopping centre, may look spectacular – but will any one use it?

The impressive stainless construction is soon due to be opened in an enormous mall in China’s most populous city.

However, residents are already voicing their concerns – with many convinced it may be dangerous.

The new mega slide will open in Printemps mall, in the Pudong New Area of China’s eastern metropolis – but just photos of it have been enough for many to claim it makes their legs weak.

For myself... hmmm. I dunno. Worth a shot, if I don't get stuck in it, somewhere halfway down, LOL.

Schlossbeck. There's so little friction that I'm pretty sure I watched KT fly off the end of the runoff at full speed. Then when I rode it I nearly broke the sound barrier and almost ended up in Malaria Lake.

^^That looks awesome! I wish more malls would add crazy slides like that.

I know many of the European Parks still have those huge metal slides, like the one that's gonna be built in that Shanghai Mall. I particularly remember the ones at Europa Park and Fort Fun being really insane as well all flew off and nearly killed ourselves by flying straight onto the pathway. I really wish more parks in the U.S could have slides like that, but it sadly isn't going to happen.

Anyone from the Cleveland area remember the Giant Slide that was at the Mayfield Rd exit off 271 through the 70's until ? It was essentially the same as Cedar points slide. Very odd setting as it was in a parking lot and that was it. A drug store sits there now. I've tried to find photos of it but no luck. I did however find a photo of a ticket for it. As a side note, Mayfield road is a direct route to Conneaut Lake Park from Cleveland.
