Made a little trip to Pyramid's Sacramento Alehouse yesteday. Had a pitcher of Curve Bal before it's out of season.

Enjoy the photos!

Looks like some good real ale being served there!

If you can make it over to England next year you'll have to sample some of our fine real ales on offer over here. 8)

^Most breweries in California brew Hefeweizens. Actually I should say the entire west coast, not just California.

Go to the midwest, like a state like Ohio, and they won't even know what a Hefeweizen is.

^Nothing good has ever come out of Pennsylvania

The last time I tried a beer from Penn, I ended up spitting it out and throwing away the entire 6-pack.

When I'm back in Ohio next month, I'll see if I can find this Hefe and try it.

PhishyBrewer, you need to make the 10 hr drive north to Portland if you like good microbrews. Portland has by far the most microbreweries of any city in America.

^It's been on my to do list. But I have no desire to go to Oregon. Or even Washington for that matter.

WTF???

Is that a normal sized american portion? If it is I do not longer wonder why so many americans are a little oversized^^

And you do drink Kölsch in america? That's one of the most awfull beers ever (espacially if you come from Mönchengladbach^^)

Most places do give you a lot of food. Karen and I do end up taking a lot of our food home or give it to homeless folks.

Sacramento does have a problem with the homeless to. I usually give our extra food to a lady I pass a lot downtown.

As for Kolsch... Curve Ball is a Kolsh style of beer but it's not Kolsch the brand. That's stuff is nasty.
