The Official TPR Knott's Haunt Meet

Hey everyone!

 

I think we've decided that we want to organize a TPR meet for Knott's Haunt. We're in the process of figuring our meeting times, etc, but at the moment we need to find out when the best day would be for people.

 

Right now we have it narrowed down to either Thursday, October 13th or Sunday, October 16th. The event starts at 7pm on either night, and we would STRONGLY reccomend doing the pre-scare dinner as part of the official meet so you can get a head start in front of the massive crowd.

 

Personally, I'd rather do it on a Thursday since in my experience the weekdays are a lot less crowded, but I know that would exclude some people if you couldn't get out of work early, so I've included a weekend option too.

 

We would rather not hold an official meet on a Friday or Saturday because the event gets unbearably crowded, and they don't have Express Passes at Knott's!

 

So please choose one or the other and we'll decide on a final date for the meet.

Gyendolynne and I would love to go, but we will probably come down on a Saturday and go to SFMM on Sunday and Knott's on Monday. Haven't decided what day though yet. Maybe October 17th or 24th for Knott's on Monday.

I think the 13th might work for us. If Kristi can get off the 14th we can just switch our Haunt day from Thursday to Friday.

^^ Damn Rick! We need to figure out a good time to get you down here again! BTW, Haunt isn't on Monday nights, not sure if you meant do Knott's that day or Knott's and Haunt.

I'd like to go on a Thursday, but I have a Math class Thursday evening. I'll see how that class is before I decide if I could skip a day.

We just come down for Knott's, we haven't done the Haunt yet. Maybe we can look into getting down there for this one. I don't know how much vacation time we both have. Both of us started new jobs this year.

I actually have planned for my wife and I to be booked for the Haunted Dreams Package on the 16th already. I would love to go on the 13th as well. If I do, I will probably spend the day there and get Ghostrider pickups.

 

I can never get enough of the Haunt!

I can probably go either of those days. I have a wedding to go to in the first half of October, so there is a chance that might knock Haunt out.

I love the Haunt! I booked my Sunday the 16th today. I will wait on TPR's plans to finalize the 13th.

Looks like it's going to be on Thursday! I'll most more about it later, but it will be Thursday the 13th. We should try to have only one meeting time at the pre-scare dinner, but that might be hard for some people.

 

I guess what we'll have to do is once the event starts, have people give us a call and meet us where we're at since it's so hard to stop and wait for people once that event starts!

 

I'm a little surprised that there wasn't as much interest in this meet as there was in the HHN. How many people where would actually go?

Doh! My dates are Oct. 1 (first Saturday... hopefully shouldn't be too bad since it's the first one) and Oct. 20 (Thursday). The 13th is the day before midterm reviews for architecture at school, which means I don't sleep that week.

 

That and 8:00 AM classes on Mondays and Wednesdays as well as 2-6pm classes on M, W, F means that Sundays through Wednesdays and Fridays are impossible for me this year.

I wish I had seen this earlier but I will be in the LA area in September 30 through October 3. I would like to go Firday September 30 or Sunday October 2 so if anyone is going let me know. Thanks
