[RCT2] Folfenarios

Folfenarios! - Downloadable (and playable) scenarios for RCT2 made by yours truly.

 

So, basically whenever I make a scenario, I'll post it here for you all to enjoy and play. What's more? I encourage you all to post what you have done on here (preferably, as screenshots, though feel free to upload a save if you wish).

 

So, without further ado.... let's showcase the first two scenarios:

 

Echenima Park - MARFstitution

 

"While Mr. Folf is away for a much needed retreat, you have been put on duty to maintain one of his most famous creations. Be sure that all maintenance and rehabs go well, and to abide by the high standards created by MARFleparks"

 

 

I never release 'maps', or saved games of my parks. Rather, I release scenarios as a way to 'encourage' people to not just look at the parks, but to play around with them as well. In this case, we have the original Echenima Park. Now, this scenario is slightly dated (I prefer to call it a 'living snapshot' of the park). And there are a few notes I'd like to share before you download:

 

Certain rides may have double queues. This was a failed attempt at making single rider lines. Feel free to remove them.

 

Select rides (e.g. transport) can't be demolished.

 

And yes, you can build over the buildings with a colored wooden fence (or anywhere else you see fit)

California Boardwalk

 

"As part of a local ordinance to boost tourism, you have been assigned to build an amusement park along the coast."

 

 

A few notes about this scenario:

 

Contains little to no custom content

 

Rather primitive - made back in '08

 

Land around the highway can be bought, the parking lot is one giant construction rights zone.

And remember, feel free to show off what you have done here. I guess you can call this an 'open-ended competition' in that there is no endpoint, limit, nor winner - just post what you did in these scenarios. You don't have to, but you have the opportunity to. Have fun, and there's sure to be more Folfenarios to come!

^It's this trick Robb pulls on us. If you say l(o)ckers it gets changed as well. I'm sure there are others.

Just wondering, from what I've seen in chat (and, quite frankly, it bothers me that people would rather respond about my work in chat rather than in the respective threads), people have been checking these out and looking at them. However, I intended (or hoped) that those who downloaded the scenarios would play with them. And not only that, but to recite an excerpt for the original post:

So, if you did download these scenarios, do post what you have done to them! Consider it an 'open-ended' contest, a showcase of what want can do to what already exists (or in the case of the beach, what one does).

Well, while playing the park I noticed Storm Chasers was down. Seeing as the ride needed a lot of rehabs, I decided to replace it with a artificial ski slop called skiMARF. skiMARF is a single slope with 2 sides, a beginners track (Green) and a challenge track (Blue). skiMARF has 2 lifts, a high speed quad and a tow rope. The rates for skiMarf are:

$2 for a all day lift ticket

$10 rentals

$24 for lessons

$40 for a season pass

This was just a result of having fun.

Figured I add this in. 'tis a Work in Progress, but more-or-less complete. Due to high demand, I have released a K9-Falliday Studios Folfenario. The scenario is located under the 'Challenging Parks' tab. Keep in mind you will need select custom scenery and rides. Please make sure to have those on-hand. I will provide them if needbe.

 

MARFstitution - Studios Style

Seeing your excellence in running the original Echenima Park, Mr. Folf is lending you the Studios whilst he's away. Be sure to abide by MARF standards while completing any projects. Do not let your rating fall under 700
