stormrider
I won't participate in this competition because I "am" a "Newton Noob." However, I'll be sure to download some of these rides because I want to see what a good ride can look like when made with the program. And if you provide the Newton2 files that would be awesome. For some reason though, it feels similar to asking for the source code for a closed source program, so I understand if you want to keep your methods secret I've found though, that there have been moments where it was okay to drag the "lateral g-force" slider to get the desired shape for things, as well as timewarping things. For instance, to get the sharp turn after the lift of SFDK's Medusa, it required putting the laterals on a cyclic transition, meaning "breaking the no-laterals" rule for a moment And getting the B&M pre-lift turns required some lateral G nudging, at least for a noob like me
AJClarke0912
^You're actually correct on that...some rides (namely, the Intamin hypers as well as Mega-Lites) have some 0.5G laterals on hilltops to get specific shapes. However, on Il Pitone, I didn't do any lateral G insertions (or even Timewarping), because it was unnecessary. Usually you don't have to do Timewarping because Quintic gets the job done, but there are those times of trouble in finding a transition type (and Timewarping lets you make one). Â Â Oh, and here are some pictures to show that I'm actually still working on this. And no, this environment won't be used in the final download. AJClarke0912
^Well, here's to hoping that you can't pull it off in two weeks. This is pretty much as good as it gets from me.
AJClarke0912
Il Pitone has been released on YouTube! I'm pretty excited to hear back from the communities I've posted this to. Â Â I will soon be posting this on NoLimits-Exchange, when the exchange list refreshes for this coming week. Anyway, comment! mightbeawannabe
^I know that information isn't for my benefit, but could you elaborate a little bit? Without good details backing your decision, I wouldn't trust its validity.
coast4airtime
There is not much to say. There were what, two people that entered. I'm not going to tell someone there ride is good in vivid detail when there was only two entry's. I think it was easy to see which one was more realistic. (no offence)
mightbeawannabe
Ah....I guess that's true. I didn't realize only two people entered. I figured someone might have sent you one without entering beforehand, as that sometimes happens.
