Great report! Few questions about Mt. O for you...

1. Where the lights in Hades tunnel on?

 

2. After coming out from the parking lot for the second time you go up a hill which is followed by two turns. On the second turn was it smooth or was there jack hammering? That turn used to be VERY rough but I heard they've done some retracking.

 

3. Did you see any construction on the new rides at Mt. O? One is called Catapult, the other we don't know the name.

Nice TR! Hades looks so impresive with the tunnel! I've always wondered about the layout of Cyclops! Looks like a great coaster!

Nice trip report, I want to go to the Dells and Valley Fair!(and Nickelodeon Universe) next summer really bad! I never hear anything good about Valley Fair!, it doesn't look extremely nice, but it does have a few descent coasters. How was Excalibur? Does it have any airtime at all? For some reason I'm really interested in that coaster.

It's to keep you from falling out. Supposedly with age comes weight. I used to be an annual visitor before it made the transformation from Big Chief to Mt. Olympus, and before the age restriction, and I never fell out, even as a youngin.

I didn't see any construction, but I also didn't spend time looking around for it. What kind of ride are they building?

 

A few websites have said it will be a bungee shot ride. The park hasn't officially released anything (at least to the public) yet, besides that whey will have a new ride called Catapult. According to Screamscape someone called the park and was told we would get two new upcharges (making all 4 thrill rides upcharges). No Information has been released on the second one.

Does anyone know the reason you have to be over 18 to ride in the back row? I have not ridden the coaster but that kind of restriction seems kind of crazy to me.

 

Did you get to ride the scad tower, rcg19?

 

Because it is one of the craziest drops you will ever experience on a roller coaster. I almost feared for my life, but couldn't stop riding. Awesome fun.

 

I went to Wisconsin this spring. Hades was being re-tracked, and Hellcat just wasn't open.
