Do European/Australian parks have American themed areas?

I appologize if this is a repeat topic, but I don't recall ever seeing one on this topic.

 

For our international/well traveled members, are American themed lands in parks a pretty common thing?

 

Here we seem to like Europe a lot for theming, sometimes Asia, and more recently Australia has started being used a lot for water parks.

The American West is a very popular theme in European parks; many of them do it quite well.

Yes, actually. But many times it's an "old west" or "mining town" depiction of America...

Both Universal Studios in Singapore and Japan both have New York/Hollywood themed areas. That's not really European or Australian but still overseas.

 

As for the space shuttle, I think it's probably a replica.

Since Australia is mentioned in the topic title, its worth mentioning that WB Movie World has a couple of American inspired areas....

You've got main street, I think it's supposed to be a collection of buildings from the golden age of moviesL (Complete with american flags draped from the buildings)

the most parks in germany, just have american themed areas in western style, like said before...

The only one i know is HeidePark which has a american style themed elements:

EDIT: Oh, i forgot.... THERE ARE some american themed areas in many parks!!! They were mostly called "McDonalds" und you will find it in many parks... ask Melissa

And thanks for the responses everyone. I read TPR a lot, and really enjoy the "foreign" reports more than the US ones, because of course those parks are not something I can easily get to any time soon. I do hope to do a TPR European trip sometime in the near future though. Looks like you guys have a lot of fun.

Movie Park Germany has the Western-City (looks like nearly every Park in Germany has one...) and also an "Streets of NY"-Section and the Santa Monica-Pier.

I think that would be the "most american themed" park you can find in Germany.

Don't forget Frontierland and Main Street at Disneyland Paris! You could count that.
