Canobie Fan Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005 I went to the park a few weeks ago and fell in love with Cyclone.. I feel ANY big name park that would take it over would uck it up.. CF would trim it to death and add solo lapbars and well.. make it suck.. ALso the way the park is set up and stuff just doesnt fit in with the other CF parks.... I think the only way to keep this park going the way it is now would be to have some other independent person take it over.
YoshiFan Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005 I don't want to see Hershey buy the park. I like Hersheypark a lot but I really don't like what Hershey did to Dutch Wonderland. They got rid of the classic ride Old Engine 99, changed the maximum height limits on some rides like the ferris wheel from 60" to 54", they posted a maximum height limit of 54" on the silo slide (I don't think there ever was a height limit) and added more skill games to the park. I could see them doing similar things with Williams Grove like getting rid of the fun house and/or the darkride.
ShannonSomerville Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005 I always try to go there once a year. It is a very nice park, and it has one of the most wicked coasters out there,Cyclone. I also like the fact that it is not that much crowded. I hope that someone or some other park will take care of it. SES
BarryH Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005 Hmmm...if Hershey does buy Williams Grove, they've got to put in a Lady Gay tugboat!
Dailey Enterprizes Posted August 12, 2005 Posted August 12, 2005 ^^^^^ I don't think Kennywood will buy because they already own Idlewild, Sandcastle, Kennywood obviously, and Lake Compounce. Plus I think they were offered to buy Conneaut Lake Park at one point, but they didn't want it, so who knows.
coaster1 Posted August 12, 2005 Author Posted August 12, 2005 Kennywood is just the better choice out of Cedar Fair and Hershey. At least they wouldn't ruin the place.
CoasterFanatic Posted August 12, 2005 Posted August 12, 2005 ^^ Williams Grove doesn't come with $2 Million Dollars in Debt either?
