Twister II Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005 Ok, umm lets just say that you are going to California in November, say, O, um, the weekend after Thanksgiving, and you want to go to SFMM.... Your plane lands in....o....Orange County..... And you want to go to SFMM, so you have to get luggage, rent a car, pick up your So Cal passes, and drop off Uncle Tito off at Disneyland, then drive to SFMM. By the time you reach SFMM, its around 2pm. So what would you do if you only had 4 hours at SFMM??? Sence park closes at 6 because its a Sunday. But keep in mind, that this is a once and only trip! That wont happen til probly a good 6 more years, and you dont want to leave ANYthing out, especially X. So, yeah, helpy?
Twister II Posted August 11, 2005 Author Posted August 11, 2005 plane lands at 10:00, same time the park opens. but Im expecting at least a 30min delay.
ebl Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005 ^ You probably won't be at SFMM till about 2:00 by the time you get your baggage, drop your uncle off, drive 90 minutes (or more) north. I say, come the night before and stay somewhere in the San Fernando Valley or Valencia. That way, you can get up bright and early Saturday and be at SFMM when they open. That time of the year, they're not open past 6pm, 8pm at the latest. Eric
Twister II Posted August 11, 2005 Author Posted August 11, 2005 But, plane tickets are already bought..... It would probly be more $$$ to change them, cancelation fee, NEW tickets, rental car, and an extra hotel room for 1 night.
ScOtT k Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005 Well buddy, your screwed. What ride is most important to you there? If it's X, It could be the only ride you'll hit. I'd suggest skipping X, it's not that great.
SharkTums Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005 You pretty much answered your own question...just go and have a few hours.
Twister II Posted August 11, 2005 Author Posted August 11, 2005 Well what will I be able to get done if I skipped X?
coaster1 Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005 If it's crowded .. maybe 1 or 2 coasters ... maybe Psyclone, Viper .. but who knows .. with 3 hours or so .. I'd do something better .. like Knott's, since you'll be alot closer.
Sir Clinksalot Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005 ^ On a saturday in late November / Early December ... probably quite a bit actually. Skipping X you should be able to quite possibly hit everything, making sure you do the single rider line on Deja Vu. Just remember, some attractions may be closed for possible construction. EDIT: Are you going ON thanksgiving weekend or the weekend after? Wasn't clear from your post.
Twister II Posted August 11, 2005 Author Posted August 11, 2005 O, sorry, the weekend AFTER, on Sunday. But I talked with my mom, and she said that maybe it would be ok if when the group leaves on Saturday (December 3rd) that we could stay and go to SFMM that day, from 10-6, and fly home later that night. But chances are that wont happen...
X Posted August 28, 2005 Posted August 28, 2005 If you skip X you should be able to get on The B&Ms, Goliath and DejaVu if you use the Single rider line if its not crowded. For fastlane its $15.00 and you get to skip the line for 4 rides. It works on Scream, Goliath, Riddlers, Collosus, Viper, Revelution and Log Jammer. Kevin"Have Fun!"Bujold
