Usually you can find some great offers for vacations to Disneyland for the summer. There doesn't seem to be any at this time. Are they holding out right now to see what the economy might do?

I always see some great deals for Walt Disney World, but I don't recall too many for Disneyland, other than the 2fer ticket they offer So Cal residents.

However, since I live here I'm also not looking for Disneyland vacation deals so maybe I've just missed them.

What kind of deals did they used to offer? What it anything like the WDW "buy 4 days, get 3 free" deal?

I saw something on shermans the other day for rooms as low as $62.00 for the Disneyland resort for travel between now and the end of Feb..

Not summer I know.

I have seen some deals in the past for stay 3 nights and get two free and other discounts on the hotels. My wife is a teacher so we are kind of stuck going in the summer. Right now I am looking at the good neighbor hotels.

I just keep hoping for some deals to pop up for summer.

We just received our one-day tickets for helping clean up the San Francisco shoreline, and "free" is a rather good special offer. With a million freebies out there courtesy of Give a Day, Get a Day (still ongoing, btw), seems like the parks will be packed even without other discounts. I do wonder about the economics, though. The birthday offer pretty well ensured that paying guests would accompany the free-ticketholder, but GAD,GAD is open to everyone over 6, so a whole family can get in free.

^ Thanks for the reminder to look for some local opportunities for work to earn that ticket. I did look a couple of weeks ago and most were Red Cross jobs in our area.

I was at Vons yesterday and they announced that Disney is offering a 3-Day Park Hopper for $149 right now, and you can get tickets at Vons. For the last two summers, Disney has offered the 3-Day Park Hopper for $99---once you use the first day, you have to use the other two days within 45 days. With that deal, even if you only use your second day, it's still a great deal.

With this offer from Vons, though, I don't know if it's a Southern California resident deal or not.

^ Yeah, in reality we did work for the ticket, so it was like earning 25+ an hour tax-free. But we're birders, and the Audubon Society gig was so enjoyable we plan on doing it again next month. So for us, the promotion really worked out well.

Just signed up for a shore cleaning job in New Jersey, still waiting for the final date to be determined.

I hope it is before the season starts as I really don't want to be dragging the characters from "Jersey Shore" off the beach and cleaning up after them.
