Erik Johnson Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 I broke out my Animal Crossing, after about a year of not playing, for the Gamecube...ack sooo many weeds. I was wondering if anyone else ever plays (or played) this game. If so would anyone be interested in trading items?
YoshiFan Posted August 7, 2005 Posted August 7, 2005 When I got the game, I played it almost everyday for 6 months then I just got bored with it. I guess I got tired of running around the village, and talking and doing errands for the animals. I plan to get the DS version and I'm hoping I'll start enjoying the series again.
Erik Johnson Posted August 7, 2005 Author Posted August 7, 2005 Yeah the Nintendo DS version is going to be good. The only thing that will be missing (though they are adding a bunch of new stuff), is going to be the NES games. I do have the complete Halloween series on my top floor, as well as the complete blue series on the first floor (with my NES games and trophies). Again if anyone would like the trade items..let me know.
Sir Clinksalot Posted August 7, 2005 Posted August 7, 2005 I imported it when it came out in the US originally and got the whole family addicted. I played it obsessively for awhile and so did my dad. He went on a collecting spree and had nearly every item in the game and maxed out his money so he got very bored. My Mum however played Animal Crossing everyday until about a year ago when the disc got broken. She'd still be playing it to this day otherwise !!!
SharkTums Posted August 7, 2005 Posted August 7, 2005 Yeah, I'm also anxiously awaiting the DS version...I too have broken it out every few months, but I get so annoyed by having to pick all my weeds! I know there's some code that will get rid of them all but that seems wrong!
Justin Adams Posted August 8, 2005 Posted August 8, 2005 I don't play the game, but this weekend I did play the old NES games they have in the game at my friend's house. Punch Out rules all. Justin
Erik Johnson Posted August 8, 2005 Author Posted August 8, 2005 Yeah weeds can be the pits. It took a few hours to find em all and pluck em. (As well as going to the Gameboy island). I ran into one of the critters who said it had been 19 months since I talked to him....oops. Too bad the version of Punch Out! is the 2nd edition....No Mike Tyson..heh.
Token Yankee Guy Posted August 8, 2005 Posted August 8, 2005 I tried the game at my friends house. I was on the first quest that said I had to go and meet everyone in the village. There was one person I couldn't find so I said "screw this" and stopped playing. in the end, the game never really caught my attention.
Erik Johnson Posted August 8, 2005 Author Posted August 8, 2005 Yeah...its not a game for everyone.... Erik "who still gets made fun of for playing Animal Crossing" Johnson
CoasterJunkie Posted August 8, 2005 Posted August 8, 2005 I used to get pissed about having to go about having to pluck weeds...if I wanted to pick weeds, I would go into my front yard, not play a video game. I need to start playing again...maybe I will put the game in again
