Coaster Palooza Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 I went to Gilroy Gardens Holiday of Lights, Nights of Fire last Saturday night as a VIP! The park is open from 4-9pm. They have a couple of Peanuts shows (A Charlie Brown Christmas, etc.). They also have an ice skating rink and a neat lazer light and fireworks show at the end of the night. The Backroads area is changed into the 12 days of Christmas. The park is decorated with a ton of lights. Enjoy the photos. This was a good time. It is a very good show for the kids. Bring them out and have a blast! Time for fireworks and lazers on the lake. Everything is okay now. Oh wait, we didn't light up the tree. unless you want to dance with Snoopy. and that's the show folks! Linus does his Shepherd speech. A couple of kids from the audience got to get a sleigh ride. There he is... Hey, you're missing Snoopy! Getting ready for a Charlie Brown Christmas. The rink... Prices, now I REALLY know Big Mike is rubbing off on me. The ice rink. I rode twice in the front row. On the way to ride Quicksilver, there are more decorations. I wish 6-Flags had this. This is one of the shows. They perform twice during the dinner buffet. I think it is out of order again. This looks familiar...FIVE GOLDEN RINGS!!! Should I have taken the other route? I wonder if I am going backwards... It really wasn't in any particular order... ok, I'm ready to go... One of the cars. Those of you familiar with the car area, they have 12 days of Christmas there. This is a different shot of the trees. They have the trees decorated at the entrance of the park. I had to pick up my VIP pass. Big Mike is rubbing off on me! This is the entrance.

packfanlv Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 Thanks Rick! Gilroy Gardens is a beautiful park. I only wish I lived closer so I could get up there for GG and SFDK HITP.
Bush985 Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 ^^^I agree with you Chuck! ^Hey Guy, I don't know when they started doing this. I think it has been a few years though. Guy & Rick, this is the sixth or seventh year for the event. Nights of Fire is one of the biggest additions for the event though in recent years.
