FallingStar Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 Welcome to Manor Lake Theme Park, Designed to rival the UK's leading parks. (Not to mention test my CS skills ) Lets start with the left side of Founders Street , themed as a Traditional English village / township. And a preview of the new carvery that is under construction behind the Grand Carousel Oh , and previews of some possible attractions ... Comments?
themeparkman25 Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 Wait wait wait, this is your first park?! It looks fantastic! Keep up the great work, you have done a very good job so far.
FallingStar Posted December 8, 2009 Author Posted December 8, 2009 Well, the first I've ever felt worthy of posting at TPR
the ghost Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 The buildings look good, but the pictures are a little to large. Awesome work so far though!
FallingStar Posted December 9, 2009 Author Posted December 9, 2009 How do I make the pics smaller? Don't want to fall at the first hurdle and get banned for posting pictures that are too big Plus thanks for feedback!
themeparkman25 Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 If you are using a PC, open the pics using microsoft office picture manager, click edit, and then resize them from there. I usually go with the web-large version.
BelgianGuy Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 WOW, you don't only have the patience needed but also the eye for details, something I've never had when playing RCT3, good job on this one
FallingStar Posted December 10, 2009 Author Posted December 10, 2009 All Aboard! Here is a look at the new railroad Station. The carvery... burnt down Comments?
triggernel Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 In the new area I think the detail is great, I just feel there is way to much green going on, you know what I mean. You have all the green grass, green trees (I know these you can't really help), green signs, green fence, green gazebo on the train station, green lights, and I think green brick around the buildings, and a green roof on your train building. Try adding more of the red fence you have, and maybe changing up the lights to a different color, too.
FallingStar Posted December 13, 2009 Author Posted December 13, 2009 Looks like there are some additions to the park. The new cafe is the Country Tea Rooms, the new land is Kingdom of Osiris and the new chairswing is called Scarab Swinger. The Train Sation and Toilets have also been repainted. Comments? (again sorry about image size, I am working on fixing it)
triggernel Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 I like the colors a lot better now. Can we get an overview shot?
FallingStar Posted December 13, 2009 Author Posted December 13, 2009 Im afraid not - when I zoom out the planters go weird and fluorescent. Plus what I am showing you is the complete parts of a VERY incomplete pair of areas.
FallingStar Posted December 16, 2009 Author Posted December 16, 2009 Hell. Hath. No. Fury... Coming Soon...
KPWoCkAxX Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 That picure's far too big, but it looks good, I quite like it. The little seating area is really nice. Good job.
FallingStar Posted December 16, 2009 Author Posted December 16, 2009 Sorry, I just copy paste the links and stuff from the main forum I post this on (towerstimes) and the image sizes are fine there. On another hand WOW!!! Comment from one of the ledges (ledge = legend)
KPWoCkAxX Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 On another hand WOW!!! Comment from one of the ledges (ledge = legend) Are you referring to me? Because if you are I'm no legend. I just post alot I think though the rules are different here. The max size is 800x600. You can resize them in photoshop or any program like that. Or if you use photobucket it does it automatically, just so you know. It's nice to see new members posting new parks so it would be a shame for you to get banned pretty early.
FallingStar Posted December 16, 2009 Author Posted December 16, 2009 Thanks for the advice ther KPo.... you I'll resize all future updates - Kay?
mcjaco Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 How do I make the pics smaller? Don't want to fall at the first hurdle and get banned for posting pictures that are too big Oh, were not that mean here!
FallingStar Posted December 17, 2009 Author Posted December 17, 2009 It appears some plans have emerged... Comments?
Twister II Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 Okay, you really need to stop uploading pics at .png's. They are extremely slow to load. Less people will be looking at your pictures if it takes more than a minute for each one to load. Please, .jpg's are your friend. Other than that the park looks alright, not bad for a first timer!
FallingStar Posted December 17, 2009 Author Posted December 17, 2009 Ok, all pictures from now will be converted to .jpgs . RCT seems to default as Png. But anyway, thanks for the comment
mcjaco Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 ^ Yep. RCT has always liked .png. You can Google "Microsoft PowerToys". There's a really easy to use photo resizer in it.
KPWoCkAxX Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 Hmm... I just can't help but think that the layout is too small, perhaps it's not. How long does it take to do a full circuit? I do like how you labled everything though. Just in case idiots like me can't figure it out, ha!
FallingStar Posted December 19, 2009 Author Posted December 19, 2009 I will admit, the ride is quite short, but on the upside it was designed specifically by B&M to wrap around and through the Kingdom of Osiris ,and was also more of an experiment to see how ride dynamics could change by shuffling elements, much like Nemesis in 1994. Also, the park where adamant on a cobra roll over the lake.
