jedimaster1227
http://thecdsgroup.com/assets/pressrelease.pdf The CDS Group signed in May 2009, a Memorandum of Understanding with Great Adventures Amusement Park and Resorts Limited to design and build a $80 million amusement park on over 200 acres of land provided by the Enugu State Government, Nigeria. The CDS Group completed the Conceptual Master Plan in August 2009. The strategic Master Plan utilized a holistic approach to develop the targeted area in multi-faceted activity groupings that will spur tourist attractions and provide visitors with everlasting memories. Financing for the equipment will be arranged through the Ex-Im Bank’s new $300 million credit facility for Nigeria. Diamond Capital, a subsidiary of Diamond Bank, Nigeria has expressed interest in providing the local bank guarantee. Chance Morgan will be the exclusive amusement park major equipment provider to the team. ProSlide will be the exclusive water ride manufacturer for the project. Construction is expected to start early 2010 and be completed by December 2012. It is certainly interesting to see such established companies gain exclusivity over a project like this. I hope that this concept gets farther than most of those in Dubai, as it looks like it has potential.
FLIPDUDE
Very interesting... Always nice to hear of new parks opening up! Especiallly in parts of the world that don't already have a bunch. The map is a bit hard to read, though.
CorkscrewFoley
What a shame this park won't see the light of day...it opens up in December 2012...we're all doomed, remember? lol
FLIPDUDE
^ It's getting really annoying to hear this joke every time something with the year 2012 comes up...

Pufferfish
This looks like a really nice project and I hope everything works out in the construction process. On a different note, stop it with all the "2012" crap. Scientists went over the Aztec calendar again and realized they miscalculated it. The end of the calendar is 2220. CHILLERLC1
Is Six Flags going to go after them for Intellectual Property Rights? Maybe they'll enter a management/advisor role and liscense their name out.
