deathbydinn Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 So I just got back from the dells and while looking at the Mt. Olympus brochure I found a big mistake. If you have found error on brochures, maps, signs, or anything post them here. Can you find it? If no one figures it out I'll post the answer.
disneymoc Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 The statement "more fun under one roof in the Dells" isn't accurate.
mcjaco Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Can you find it? If noone figures it out I'll post the answer. If no one can find it, is it considered an error?
dammie16@vt.edu Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 My assumption is that he is either seeing bumper "karts" or "rollercoaster" as the error, both of which are not really errors.
deathbydinn Posted November 2, 2009 Author Posted November 2, 2009 ^ I have a book that says the first inverted coaster was at Six Flags Great Adventure. Even if no one who read the book saw that, or knew it was wrong it would still be an error. EDIT: The error has nothing to do with spelling. Someone who has been to SFGAM and Mt.Olympus should be able to get this.
Reality15 Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 The picture of Opa is actually King Chaos... a lot of parks do that, though. Look at any Cedar Fair marketing brochure, there's bound to be some generic waterpark shot from a random CF waterpark.
deathbydinn Posted November 2, 2009 Author Posted November 2, 2009 ^ Yep. Every other picture is of there rides so why did they use a stock photo for a wild mouse? Is it really that hard to take a picture of Opa?
Wes Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 ^ Yep. Every other picture is of there rides so why did they use a stock photo for a wild mouse? Is it really that hard to take a picture of Opa? Since Opa is in a building, they would have had to Photoshop out the building portions they didn't want to use to provide the cut-out (coaster against a design element) image effect that is in the brochure. I'm assuming the stock image you're complaining about had the ride against a sky background, which would a fairly solid blue color that is much easier for a designer to remove easily.
deathbydinn Posted November 2, 2009 Author Posted November 2, 2009 ^ That makes sence. A few of the other rides in they show are in the building but it would be very easy to edit out the building in pictures of them. Thanks Wes.
