mousch Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 Going to Orlando for a fortnight end of october, just want to go to magic kingdom and epcot for a day each. What is the best ticket option and the cheapest place to buy? Thanks for any info you could give.
MG Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 At the moment if you buy tickets from Disney online in the UK you will likely get a great deal. Disney are currently trying to persuade Brits to visit. You can also check Orlando Attractions for good prices. Otherwise you can check the main Disney prices if you can check your way onto the American site. However I reccomend that you give yourself more time than two days. All four parks are absolutely amazing in their own way.
SharkTums Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 Yeah, a lot of times you guys in England can get better deals then we can here in the states. Make sure NOT to buy any last minute tickets in Orlando or you may be scammed with old tickets or timeshare viewings. Also, if you ever plan to come back, I always recommend investing in a longer ticket with the No Expiration option as ticket prices will only go up and it's a good investment!
mousch Posted October 26, 2009 Author Posted October 26, 2009 Thanks for the info, but we only have a couple of spare days and limited cash so 2 parks is really our limit,so maybe we will have to just pay on the gate as i could only find a 5 day pass, and it was a bit more than we could afford. Thanks again
Moose Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 For people in the US, I was able to get my tickets cheaper at AAA than from Disney. Although both places listed the same price, AAA includes the tax in their price and I didn't have to pay for shipping since I could pick up the ticket at my local office. Additionally, you can modify your ticket while at the parks by going to guest relations. I added the waterpark (and more!) option for $50 and got the same number of waterpark admissions as the length of my ticket (10 Day no expiration thanks to following Elissa's advice) verses $42 for a one day ticket.
monsterfan99 Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 If you are doing only 2 days, the Gate price will be your cheapest. It will take 4-5 days worth of ticket to find them cheaper from a ticket brooker acording to the Unoffical Guides cheapest ticket finder. However, be sure to buy a 2 day ticket as there is a small savings over just a one day ticket ($166.14 for 2 days with tax over $84.14, so a $2.14 savings.) There is one other option and that is to go to a Mickey's Not So Scary Party at the Magic Kingdom. The ticket prices will be around 20-30 dollars cheaper then a regular day ticket ($55.38 in advance, $62.84 day of versus $84.14) and you can get in at 4 PM(I think that is the hour, might be 5) and stay until Midnight. So it would be 4 hours less then a regular day there, but also cheaper.
moinab Posted October 27, 2009 Posted October 27, 2009 I thought for sure I had read that, when I was buying tickets! Of course, I just checked the WDW site, and it says "separate tickets," not "additional." (We've always had passes, so it didn't apply.) Sorry!!!!
SharkTums Posted October 27, 2009 Posted October 27, 2009 ^I don't know where you heard that but it's not true. Your MNSSHP ticket is all you need to get into the event, and in fact, a little known fact is that you can get in early with just that ticket as well (usually around 4pm) instead of the advertised 7pm. I LOVE MNSSHP!!!!
mcjaco Posted October 27, 2009 Posted October 27, 2009 Elissa is correct. MNSSHP is a seperate event that does not need a park ticket for entry.
moinab Posted October 27, 2009 Posted October 27, 2009 Sorry for the confusion, on my part. I edited my post.
