So we haven't done much camping this year with the weather being pretty wet this spring. So we decided to head out and hit up an Indiana state park (Racoon Lake SRA). This was our first time here and what a nice park. They had a few activities for the kids on Saturday.

The Bike Parade...

Gage and Caitlyn took Casey while we made dinner. He got to decorate his bike then they ride all over the campground having a little parade.

They have four nice hiking trails ranging from easy to rugged. We opted to try out Trail 1 (1.5 miles) which is marked moderate.

We soon found out what moderate means....

If that one was moderate I would hate to see what rugged is. We had all intentions on doing all four but decided to use their beach for a few hours and go swimming. ( Sorry no photos here per Karen's request, PM me and I'll send them to you! )

Really nice campground with a lake and nice hiking trails and playgrounds for the kids.

So it was up Sunday morning and off to ride some roller coasters. A phone call was made during the week and an appointment was made for 1 pm Sunday afternoon.

It was back down to visit Mr. Ivers and get Caitlyn on the Blue Flash and the Blue Too. John was nice enough to let us visit again since Caitlyn, Karen and Casey was not on our Big Mike Road Show day.

So Blue Too was up for Caitlyn and Casey..

Blue Too gets a big two thumbs up from Casey..

Karen even decided to take a spin with Casey! One of the few I have not ridden with him!

So Caitlyn got a chance to ride The Blue Flash. Was this going to be a milestone coaster for her??

Having fun looping the homemade loop...

A milestone for her or was this going to one for Karen?

Karen opted not to take a ride! She had a headache! Heard that one before!

I wouldn't let my four year old son on the Blue Flash so he could possibly get a milestone coaster would I???

John wouldn't let a four year old ride would he?

Well we sat Casey down on the Blue Flash and he couldn't comfortably reach the bar in front. Casey wanted to ride it too..

Well, out came his booster seat and up the hill he goes..

Down the hill he comes smiling ear to ear..

So what Milestone was this you ask??

Besides being # 50 for Casey this was also his first Looping coaster. He is also the youngest to ever ride the Blue Flash. After talking with John and his wife Sharon for a couple hours we were ready to leave and John's sister Kay showed up and chatted with us also. We come to find out Kay is the oldest person to ever ride at the age of 61.

Oldest and Youngest together..

Thanks again to John and Sharon for letting us come out. I learned a lot about both coasters today!

Thanks for reading,

Craig -- yeah I let my 4 yr old ride the Blue Flash!

Still amazes me every time I see the personal made roller coaster.

Wish I could build my own but I am not good at building things from scratch unless its the cabinets and things that you get from the stores with the pre made holes

Dang, Casey has just about as many coasters as I do. Atleast I will get 3 more in two weeks.

If I had known you were in RSA, I might have stopped by. I only live about 20 minutes from the park. I like to boat on that lake, when my friend's parents boat is in.

Craig, you make me jealous.

Seriously though, your 4 year old should be happy you let him ride since he may never get another chance to get that credit.

That's awesome Craig. Hard to believe you got all 3 of your kids now riding. I hope my luck goes like that!

Thanks Mrs. Miller! I'm sure you will have no problem!
