atem122 Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 I remember an SFMM update from a long time ago with a picture of the "Dog Pound" adjacent to SFMM. I've always wanted to know what it actually is, is it the security station like Robb said (or at least something similar) or just some random building?
rawrtotheargh Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Is it the dog kennel? I know they say that they or possibly used to offer boarding while you are in the park.
ebl Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 I would have guessed it's where they keep the miscreants they pick up for cutting in line or other bad behavior... Eric
WFChris Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 From what I recall way back in the day, they actually had a dog boarding service for guests while they were in the park. I could be wrong. Chris
robbalvey Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 They still offer that service. From the park website: KENNELYou can board your pet for FREE at our kennel, which is located in the main parking lot. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR PET IN OR TIED TO A VEHICLE WHILE YOU VISIT THE PARK.
The Mike Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Ya, The Kennel is a highly requested position during the summer. Our employees seem to love airconditioning as opposed to hot asphalt in the hot sun.
paintballer Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 I know at SFFT they have a kennel for free. It was apart of the security building.
AllenA07 Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 You know I though the kennel had been closed for many years now. I'm slightly shocked to hear that it is still open.
ChrisZer0 Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 Ya, The Kennel is a highly requested position during the summer. Our employees seem to love airconditioning as opposed to hot asphalt in the hot sun. Same w/ us and Cash Control at SFoT, people wanted to work w/ us there as it had A/C and no obnoxious guests on those humid D/FW 100 degree day.
paintballer Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 ^ Thats why I stick to shops during the summer at SFoT
ChrisZer0 Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 This is why I only go during the week and at opening during the summer, staying until noon-1pm or going later in the day (after 6)
