bryceone Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 Is there an Annual Passport Processing Center at California Adventure, or is it only inside Disneyland?
SharkTums Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 ^Good Question! I thought it was only at Disneyland, but hopefully someone who has done this recently or who works down there can let you know!
RCFreak Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 I'm pretty sure DCA can only handle renewals, but first time processing has to be done in Disneyland Park. Of course I could be very wrong. EDIT: After looking around online, it looks like I kind of was. All Annual Passport processing has to be done at the bank of Main Street untill the middle of summer where it will move to it's new home at the Plaza Pavilion as the Disney Gallery will take over the Bank of Main Street location.
Sir Clinksalot Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 You can also process renewals at Guest Relations outside of the Disneyland gate. They can print up your new pass and everything (as long as you are okay using last years picture). And even if it's not a straight renewal, if you've had a pass within (I think) a year, they can print it up with that picture at Guest Relations as well.
ebl Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 ^ Do they handle the parking passes there, too? For Christmas, we got Diana the next AP down from the top level, and added parking. She still hasn't gotten the parking pass validated yet. I do know that on your first use, you pay the full parking fee, then take the receipt to...someplace...where you get your $12 back and the parking pass validated. Eric
Sir Clinksalot Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 ^ There should be a "P" on her pass for the parking. She just shows her pass at the structure and they scan it. If she hasn't processed her pass yet they will do the parking at the same time she processes her AP. It's not a seperate thing.
packfanlv Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 ^^Yeah I have the same pass with parking and the only difference is a "P" on the back. I got my $12 refunded for parking at the AP processing the day I bought the pass.
ebl Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 ^ and ^^ I picked up the pass at a kiosk at The Oaks (shopping mall in Thousand Oaks), so the girl running the booth gave us a gift card for the value of the parking. We have to bring that to the park for the parking, so she said. What happens after that...I don't know. But she's going on her birthday (April 24), so I told her to ask any cast members if she's not sure what to do. Eric
Sir Clinksalot Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 ^ She will have to pay the $12 parking fee when she parks and then they will reimburse the $12 parking fee when she goes to process her pass/get her picture taken, etc. Just make sure she takes her receipt from the parking structure to show that she paid for parking.
ebl Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 ^ She's already processed her pass. The day she went, though, someone else paid for parking. Just last month, she went again, and someone else paid for parking. So, I told her that the next time she goes, she needs to pay so she can get the refund and the parking pass activated. Of course, we're talking about someone who, as of right now, 3:30ish on April 15 still hasn't finished her tax return because she's too busy hanging out with "Tony" at Chuck E. Cheese. Eric
robbalvey Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 I really wish that Disneyland could come up with a system similar to Florida's which bypasses any kind of annoying "processing" system. Everytime I walk by that bank I see a line out the door and remember back to the days when I used to have a pass at DLR and how long and annoying it was. Then again, I haven't had a Disneyland pass since 2002 so it's not like it effects me at all. But even still, there is no reason why processing your pass at Disneyland should be more time consuming than processing a pass at Magic Mountain. --Robb
