benzo41190 Posted July 27, 2005 Posted July 27, 2005 They should scrap it and put in a Togo looping mouse. After seeing the one at Tobo zoo, it looks like a really cool ride.
ebl Posted July 27, 2005 Posted July 27, 2005 Knott's had one called Windjammer. And it was soooo popular that the park decided to scrap it before it wore out with everyone lined up for hours to ride it. Eric
AllisonY2K Posted July 27, 2005 Posted July 27, 2005 Was it any good? I loved it. I thought it was an awesome compact design that still yielded a great ride. Granted yes, there was some head-banging. I rode it back when it operated at SFGam as Z-Force.
benzo41190 Posted July 27, 2005 Posted July 27, 2005 Windjammer was a looping wild mouse? I knew that it was a Togo and it looped, It just didnt look like a wild mouse. The one at Tobo Zoo looks so much better.
ebl Posted July 27, 2005 Posted July 27, 2005 I agree that Windjammer wasn't exactly a "wild mouse," but I believe that it was a TOGO Looping Mouse model. At least that's what I've heard. Eric
USCoaster Posted July 27, 2005 Posted July 27, 2005 As long as we can convice the park to have it made in Japan and shipped over, we should be OK. However, I think Togo is officially black-listed by American amusement parks because of their track record here. (pun unintentional)
SonOfBeastSucks Posted July 27, 2005 Posted July 27, 2005 I think a good alternative to not giving up a tie of having most coasters in a park would to be to replace it with something cheap, such as a wild mouse or mayby even a used shuttle loop or something.
ebl Posted July 27, 2005 Posted July 27, 2005 Honestly, I'd like to see SFMM put in a spinning mouse. It would be unique, as no one else close by has one. I think most people would enjoy it, and it would fall into the family ride category, which I think the park sorely needs. Unfortunately, contrary to what the park says, their target audience is the young, non-family crowd. That shows based on the type of attractions they've opened in the last ten years---extreme coasters! Eric
Sir Clinksalot Posted July 27, 2005 Posted July 27, 2005 ^ There is a shuttle loop sitting in SFMW's parking lot. Don't see why they couldn't put it at SFMM. Maybe that's what is going up on the hill.
