Tchu Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 Looks absolutely incredible, DBru. I've seen a lot of pretty cool river rapids rides in RCT2 parks (I'd say they're the most consistently well-done attraction in RCT parks) and this is definitely the best. Nice layout, solid landscaping, amazing buildings/structures. As was mentioned above, this looks too good to even stop and think that this is a No-CS park. Once you take that into consideration... it goes from great work to stunning.
Mochtroid Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 This park just gets better and better. My guess is the Laser from Dorney or a log flume casualty from recently.
DBru Posted February 26, 2009 Author Posted February 26, 2009 Thanks for the nice comments, guys! Moch, you're onto something... Oh, and these are for you, Steffen; please let me know which version you like better. -------------------------- 2009 For the 2009 season, PARC Paradise has installed its 5th roller coaster---White Lightnin'! This 'striking' coaster sends riders speeding through 2 vertical loops, many quick twists and turns, and an underground tunnel. White Lightnin' was bought from Dorney Park in Allentown, PA. The ride was originally headed for a German fair-circuit, but we made Cedar Fair an offer for the ride that they couldn't refuse. It was worth it to receive such a solid, Schwarzkopf looper in our park. Ironically, the ride left a 'generic' Cedar Fair park, only to move here and receive a...generic race theme, on gravel? Hmm... Also new this year is Raceway Grill. Lots of good, greasy, and overpriced American food is served here. Hope you had a great season at the park, and enjoyed our latest additions!
triggernel Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Even though I am not Stefan, I do like the hill version of the repids better.
Steffen_Dk Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Yup, that is much better And nice coaster btw. I really like its colours.
DBru Posted February 26, 2009 Author Posted February 26, 2009 LOL, good. Thanks for the suggestion. And I appreciate your input, triggernel!
angryemobeaver Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Awesome! I love Schwarzkophs! But I don't think that is an accurate recreation of Laser. On Laser, part of the track goes through the loop.
Goliath513 Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 At first, I thought you had brought back Windjammer, because of the colors.
DBru Posted March 11, 2009 Author Posted March 11, 2009 ^Haha, not quite. --------------------------- White Lightnin' has been updated. Take a look: The layout is now much more accurate...but not quite there. And the last cars on the trains have been found! In other news... Ground work is being done between WL and DC. (Don't set your hopes too high---the only plans I know of for 2010 consist of a path wrapping all the way around Disaster Canyon.)
BelgianGuy Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 This is really cool!!! Can't wait to see whats next
Stoksy Posted March 13, 2009 Posted March 13, 2009 White Lightnin' is brilliant, but the colours don't really represent the name, I would the ride would be white, but... I'm the greatest person to ask about this sort of stuff LOL! Anyway looking good, the river rapids is perfect with the hill.
DBru Posted March 13, 2009 Author Posted March 13, 2009 ^This is White Lightnin'...probably should've explained the color scheme earlier. http://www.slotforum.com/images/Scalextric/C2902-Ferrari/C2902.jpg
