IStillPlayRCT2 Posted November 16, 2008 Posted November 16, 2008 Is it busy during Mardi Gras, or if you dont have Mardi Gras February? I wanna be able to go on stuff with out having to go in huge lines.
Groteslurf Posted November 16, 2008 Posted November 16, 2008 I always look at following website : Intercot
astroworldfan1 Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 WDW isn't at all busy during Mardi Gras. I went in 2005, and pretty much rode everything. Also, try htting Universal while your in the area. Â -Tatum "YAY Mardi Gras!" G.
IStillPlayRCT2 Posted November 17, 2008 Author Posted November 17, 2008 Ill try to get my parents to go to universal for a day. Im also gonna try my first trip report, thanks for the comments.
disneygurlz2s Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 Everybody that wants to celebrate Mardi Gras will be in YOUR home state during that time (I had the pleasure myself this year and it was the time of my life!!). Anything between the first week of January and the end of March is usually good for Orlando. Â Shari "I have about 5 pounds of beads" Shoufler
IStillPlayRCT2 Posted November 20, 2008 Author Posted November 20, 2008 So it wont be busy? Ok. Off Topic: Did you like Mardi Gras?
disneygurlz2s Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 Disney gets busiest in the couple of weeks closest to Easter, and the week or two right after. I have been to WDW about mid-March (when Easter is in April) and it was a moderate crowd. Â I LOVED Mardi Gras... I went with a group of my best friends from my work, and we had the wildest time. It is definitely something I recommend everyone see at least once in their life, but it is definitely not for the prudish! I would go again in a heartbeat! Â Shari
IStillPlayRCT2 Posted November 22, 2008 Author Posted November 22, 2008 Well from what everyone is saying it looks like I wont have to wait in long lines, thanks for the answering.
dandaman Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 Not to hijack this thread entirely, but along the same lines: Anyone take a stab at the average crowds for the days just before Valentine's? Â EDIT: Well, the Intercot link posted above lists early February as "a good time to go", so that's good enough for me.
SharkTums Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 I worry though with all their crazy sales if it will start being more crowded! I know there are a few of us who took advantage of their '3 nights free offer if you buy 4 deal' and will be there in February!
dandaman Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 If I saw some TPR-ers there on my trip, that would be the best birthday present of all! Will you guys be down for the second week of the month?
monsterfan99 Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 I worry though with all their crazy sales if it will start being more crowded! I know there are a few of us who took advantage of their '3 nights free offer if you buy 4 deal' and will be there in February! Not sure about Feb, but for end of March through first week of April, it has gotten easier to get a room as the deal has gone on. The first night on the deal, the cheapest room was Caribbean Beach Resort and then only the upper tier places. Last week, checked again and everything was open for the same dates. Was able to downgrade to Pop and save over $400. No sure if that means less people are booking and more rooms are in the deal or they just time released them. Just an observation. Either way Disney is a fantastic place, crowds or no crowds.
