coasterking Posted July 22, 2005 Posted July 22, 2005 Isn't that in Finland somewhere? Anyway Robb are you going to take any photos and/or videos on this little trip?
kevrees Posted July 22, 2005 Posted July 22, 2005 I love you Brits and your "chav". I still havent had someone explain what kinds of people they are (except for earlier) and seems like its a given that no one likes these kids?! Makes it seem like Robb needs to wield a weapon to make it around the park. - Take me! Chavs are the scum of the earth and need to be eliminated!!! Taken from google - a bit cleaner than my description, heres a pretty amusing link as well http://www.chavscum.co.uk/howto.php Chav is a derogatory slang term currently in popular usage throughout England. It refers to a subculture negatively-stereotyped as being uneducated, uncultured and prone to antisocial or immoral behavior. The label is typically (although not exclusively) applied to teenagers and young adults of working class or lower-middle class origin. Its great in my neck of the woods, even the youngsters who aren't chavs hate them. i take the dog for a walk around 11 - 11.30pm every friday and saturday night as you normally get a group of them in the local supermarket carpark just off a main road in their vaxhall (chevy?) novas with exhaust pipes almost the same size as the car and those silly little l.e.d's on the windscreen washers. On the main road is a great pub which happens to be where a lot of the 'anti chavs' go for the last beers of the night before heading home. About 2 weeks ago the chavs decided to go to the play park and were being, well, chavs and threatening/frightening a lot of kiddies (from little toddlers to 8 or 9 year olds) who were there at the time and trying to imtimidate the mothers as well. Well, the fathers who were at the park with their kids with their kids drink at this pub and saw these little pricks in the car park. What followed must be the finest example of chav bashing i have ever witnessed, 3 men in their 20's knocking the stuffing out of about a dozen or so chavs. By the way Robb, hope you have a great time. If you get a chance and its not broken down (as it did twice last time i was in Thorpe) try to have a go of Rush - its great! Kev 'only an hour or so before i take the dog out & hopefully see some more chav bashing' Rees
SharkTums Posted July 22, 2005 Posted July 22, 2005 ^^Will Robb take pictures and video??? to quote a famous line... "Do Bears Sh!t in the Woods?" Elissa "OF COURSE! " Alvey
coasterking Posted July 22, 2005 Posted July 22, 2005 Haha well I wasn't sure since he's not going long and you're going back next year from what I've heard. But I figured he probably still would.
thunder001 Posted July 22, 2005 Posted July 22, 2005 Don't worry to much Elissa, you could allways leave Robb to do the buisness trip in December and come on down to Oz yourself. That way you could have a few credits that he would not have, just a thought.
Richard Posted July 22, 2005 Posted July 22, 2005 awww chavs....bless em..innit I'll help you out with the chavs. I'll point em out for you and maybe get you a chav hat for a souvenier or summin. I'm looking forward to meeting ya Robb, I kinda miss going to Thorpe as well, so like, it's all good. Well I hope you have a chavtastic time during your short stay here.
