larrygator Posted August 28, 2011 Share Posted August 28, 2011 I forgot to mention about prepartions at Coney Island. At Wonder Wheel park they took the stationary cars off the Wonder Wheel. They left the swinging cars on but with the doors propped open to allow the wind to pass through. At Luna Park, Zamperla had to dismantle the the top portion of the Star Flyer (over 75 feet tall). A fire would mean rebuilding the station and/or re-tracking the damaged portions. The support structure is steel.
