Jumboshrmp Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 Wow, this will be on the day that I'm going there (OCtober 25th). Hopefully this won't make the lines for Kraken really long, I've heard that they are usually very short. I also need to go on Journey to Atlantis, I've never been on it before, and I've heard good things. Might as well ride Shamu Express while I'm there (not for the coaster count, I swear!) On topic with the thread, what exactly is an Ice DJ? Maybe I can go dressed up as a dorky college student on a school trip and still get some candy? This seems very odd though. I never thought I'd hear Sea World and Halloween Event in the same sentence.

I never thought I'd hear Sea World and Halloween Event in the same sentence. Don't worry, even during this event, the lines for Kraken are still shorter compare to other theme parks, should be no longer than 20 minutes. An Ice DJ is basically the same thing as a regular DJ, just a name they use instead of calling it a regular DJ. SeaWorld has had this event for a few years now. Previous years it was called Shamu's Halloween Spooktacular. One section of the park, usually the pathway behind Bayside Stadium is transform for this event. Oh and don't worry, the candies and treats are for people of all ages. Not just kids.

My comment about the candy wasn't about whether they would give it to to teens, it was about this: costumed youngsters can search for hidden "fantasea” treasures at more than a dozen different stations I was just joking about that. Obviously, if you aren't in costume you don't get candy. And an 18 year old in costume trick or treating at a theme park full of little kids is just creepy.

Actually anybody can get candy, you don't have to have a costume, on another note... you'll be surprised. I have personally seen grown men and women all decked out in costumes during this event in previous years. Pirates seem to be quite popular! I would not doubt it if you see some adults in pirates costumes, however you might possibly even see adults in other costumes... some I rather not think of... creepy... I'll let you use your imagination...
mash80 Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 Damn, when I saw the topic title I had visions of myself swimming around in a huge lake full of sticky orange pop - maybe a sign I should get to bed Sounds like fun, would love to get over to the states one year to try some of the many awesome halloween events your parks have.
kraken613 Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 Hmm Interesting I dont think Kraken ever has a line though!
sam06pr Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 This is one of the reasons SWO is the flagship park
Not For Sale Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 New for this year is a healthy choice: Chiquita® Mini's - a sweeter tasting banana that's just the right size! How dare they.
