Cedar Point getting a new water ride in 2009??

Well, anyone else hear this? I have been hearing countless rumors about Snake River falls leaving and a new water ride will be taking it's spot.

I've heard this before, this seems like one of those "ACEr when I was at coasterpalooza, I heard this" type of things. Snake River Falls isn't going anywhere, whether or not CP gets a water ride.

I've heard a couple of things about it. There must be an employee or two spreading rumors. One was that the ride was being removed but would be replaced with another water ride sort of like White Water Landing. Another rumor was that Snake River Falls was being removed for a B&M dive machine, but that fell through.

 

I take all of these with a grain of salt. I don't know why the park would get rid of a ride that is really popular on hot days and bring the water ride total down even more.

 

We'll see, though, as usual.
