spaceace12 Posted August 19, 2008 Author Posted August 19, 2008 I can say that without a doubt, almost every seat in the house has a view of the field. My favorite seat so far is the north end zone just below Bud Light Plaza. Behind the seats is the window that opens up to the Indy Skyline and you can see the whole field from the top row. I took a picture of it.
spaceace12 Posted August 20, 2008 Author Posted August 20, 2008 If you are a season ticket holder or a crappy game. I checked the Bears game, cheapest seats are 150 a piece for the upper most seats, 250 for that section. Good thing I don't use seats and don't pay for tickets when I go to most of my games. I might have to go to a regular game as a spectator if I am not working it.
CoastersNSich Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 I'll make (and post) a longer music-video from the Stadium tour later.
spaceace12 Posted August 21, 2008 Author Posted August 21, 2008 Did you take that during the 6:30 tour?
FeelTheFORCE Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 Want to hear a funny story, in 2006, the 6th seeded Steelers came to RCA and beat the Colts 21 to 18 to become the first #6 seed to beat the #1 seed in history, and also win the Super Bowl.GO PITTSBURGH!!! --Chris Most epic game ever. "He missed it!" lol I also agree that real teams play outside. There's no feeling (literally, get it?) like freezing your ass off in 12 degree weather at a playoff game. That is football weather.
spaceace12 Posted August 21, 2008 Author Posted August 21, 2008 99% of the games I been to have been as a worker. After talking to some of hte CBS Sports regulars, I am glad that the Colts play inside because some of the games that are outside are mud bowls. And us workers are not just there for game time, I been there a day before or up to 5 hours before and up to 5 hours after. And let me tell you, coiling, tying, and hauling 50-150 pound cable reels sucks in rain.
CoastersNSich Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 Did you take that during the 6:30 tour? No, the escalator video you are referring to was actually filmed near the end of the noon tour - that would explain the escalator being in ERT mode. I was making my way on the field toward the visitors locker room around 2pm. And I'll second your views not only based on comfort, but also on economics. Which sounds better, a facility that is used only 10 or so events a year, or one that is used year round for purposes beyond football? Especially when the stadium is financed with public dollars? Surely Lucas Oil Stadium would've been cheaper without the retractable roof, but would've also reduced its value and potential. This is a place that is versatile yet not cookie cutter. If one wanted to build a traditional football-only stadium with the real but muddy grass, with mostly private money, I don't oppose that at all. But if it's tax dollars that make them possible, then I think the taxpayers should get the most for their money.
