TheRapidsNerd Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 Fox Charlotte Ooooh. Fox News. Yes, there's probably much more to the story here.
fallen xxi Posted May 6, 2008 Author Posted May 6, 2008 Well, I like to see Charlotte as the entire Metro region, since there are no major cities in the near vicinity, so technically its around 1,600,000. But, you make a good point, the Charlotte-Fort Mill area of Carowinds isn't exactly a beautiful area, but the point was that Carowinds contacted police, the police didn't roll up by themselves.
cathyJ Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 I have feeling we may see another story similar to this with Denver's Elitch Gardens. After all Elitches is right next door to the Pepsi Center Arena and this August that place will be the home of the 2008 Democratic Convention.
coasterguy99 Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 Did anyone notice how good the sign looks at night? Ive never seen it at night, and it looks way better than the old Paramount sign.
CoasterEricHP Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 Fox Charlotte Ooooh. Fox News. Yes, there's probably much more to the story here. Hey now.. just because its aired on Fox it doesn't mean it has any affiliation with the national FOX News! I work for Fox43 News in my town. It's a local news station and airs on the Fox network.. but we're owned by Tribune Broadcasting (who most likely owns this station too) not Fox News!! Believe me.. I wouldn't be anywhere near that place if it was Fox News!! lol. But yeah.. It doesnt seem like the whole story is being told. In the modern age of the internet.. and things like Google Earth and Virtual Earth, terrorists don't really *need* to be out there taking pictures!
jamesdillaman Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 Let the judicial system work. If the guys and/or their lawyers prove that this was a radically unnecessary or discriminitory detainment, the judicial system can award damages. With all the arrests made daily, a percentage of them will be unwarranted. Maybe the guys were violating a trespassing or a no loitering posting. Details of an ongoing investigation will not be wholly disclosed. -James "I'm not jumping to conclusions, but this SOUNDS silly" Dillaman

I'm clearer on the difference between the local and national levels now, thanks to you. Agreed. Not enough info to make a reasonable assessment.
