I think I'm going to go and get this game tonight...although that probably a bad idea as it will be a huge distraction. Oh well.

So how long before some over-protective parent sues because of this game, despite the fact that it clearly has an M rating and is not intended for children?

Already happening.

Jack Thompson is already screaming bloody murder over a video IGN posted that is basically a clip video of all the sex and violence.

Not sure why anyone listens to him. Especially considering he's about to be debarred.

Honestly, why do people get so upset about these things. If you don't want your child seeing this type of violence or sex, then don't let them have the game. And if you don't want them seeing it online, block the websites that have it. Parents are getting lazy these days. If you don't want your kid doing something, don't let them. There's nothing more that I hate than when a parent lets their kid do anything they want, and then gets upset with the results. Just stop them from doing it, it's not hard. My parents did that, and it taught my two brothers and me how to act responsibly and act like adults in public at a young age.

Bought the game on Tuesday and haven't had much time to play it yet. It is slowly growing on me, but I haven't been blown away by the game yet.

Are there any hidden packages? I have roamed around quite a bit and haven't run into any yet.

The hidden packages in this game take the form of pidgeons (refered to as flying rats in the game) which you must shoot. I dont think they fly around, but do have an eerie red glow around them so its easier to find them at night. I havent been looking but I have found two so far.

Does anyone know if Funland opens up later in the game, or is it just dead scenery?

Posted

^I had the same question, but I believe it's just dead scenery. In the game instruction book, it basically says you can't ride the coaster.

Ah, thanks. I havent gotten round to reading the manual yet.

Its a shame though. Im sure I saw one of the rides spinning away in the background of one of the trailers.

Still, its only now finding time to really get into the game. Im finding the novelty of all the little extras wear of quickly, but I still find the Euphoria thing awesome. I do like that the cars feel big and heavy now, and dont handle like little RC cars.

You can still walk all along the track, even though you can't ride. Just be careful not to fall into the middle!

I finally bought this game on Thursday, May 8th (I had to wait until school was done) and it has worked flawlessly for me so far. I have a 60 GB PS3 that was bought in April 2007 and manufactured in February 2007. No problems whatsoever, no stutters, freezes, trouble getting into online games, etc. I love this game! If anyone wants to play online, my PSN name is Destroyer95. Just let me know who you are from here. See you people online!

^ I think I read that the PS3 had it's patch released a few days ago. That may explain the lack of problems.

Empty box#2 is going to be sent my way Monday. Seems no one has any clue what happened to the first box sent.

I'm going through withdrawals while I wait to have my 360 replaced ... again.

^^ Yeah, 1.01. It fixed online issues mainly, though, not the freezing people have had. The same people are still having problems over at the Playstation forums. It's basically hit or miss, though, it's either going to work flawlessly or not at all. It's really isolated, though, and Rockstar said that it's only affecting a small batch of launch 60 GB PS3's that have a certain, different chipset. Mine was bought late enough to not have it, thankfully. That sucks about your 360. It's a shame such a great console is manufactured so poorly. It's ll because of those stupid heat sinks and X-Clamps inside the console designed for cooling purposes. They are put together so badly it looks like a child did it. They have gotten better and improved their failure rate since launch, but still not where they should be. Good luck with that!

That's part of it.

The other part is supposed to be bad solder which becomes brittle under heat.
