FeelTheFORCE Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 Out of the ones I've been to, definitely Conneaut Lake Park
printersdevil78 Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 Right you are! This is what I get for trying to do things from memory....
coastercrazed49 Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 For the people who said Uncle Bernies, it might be Ghetto, but its more of a market then a fair. So they don't focuss as much on the rides as they do on what they're selling.
Rollwithit Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 Adventure City in Anaheim California, or is it Buena Park. Eh I dunno all those cities all run together. That place is the biggest pile of junk heap I have ever seen. I heard the two coasters there has had some bad history like a wheel falling off a train. The wild mouse one looks like a death trap! No thanks.
Darksin Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 A-ha! Thats probably why I thought it was a pretzel ride then. Something really damn funny about Xanadu? That place survived untold ammounts of weird weather and being abandoned with nothing more then broken windows (and the rain that got in) but still stood up better then my parents house in Orlando when the three hurricanes of 2004. If I ever find myself living down in Florida I'm building my house like that! But yes, there where 3 of them built. Even more funny? A guy down off the gold coast built a house off that general design and concept which survived a direct hit from Charlie. ..okay I'm done now!
palmerleeberry Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 I must have been lucky, I've never have been to a park that I felt was too rundown, making me wish I was elsewhere. Of course, I could say when I went to GHOST TOWN IN THE SKY in August 2007 they only had four rides running (not counting kiddie rides, just rides an adult could go on) due to other rides still under construction (still waiting for CLIFFHANGER to reopen). However, I do plan on returning to GHOST TOWN on a future season when they have the other rides up and running (and maybe adding a cool ride or two). As for Lakemont park in Altoona, I don't think park is bad. Still, I feel they need to add another coaster (a boomerang or a wildcat would be nice) and even add something to their water side of the park. Try going on a day when LEAPS the DIPS isn't running and that would be bad. I also hate their flat ride called the SKYDIVER (it's more like a medieval chest-crushing torture device to me). Hey, I happen to own the most saddest, despicable amusement park in H. . .E. . .(double hockey sticks). Lots of rides, but they don't run! Look on the bright side, no motion sickness!!!
