DBru Posted March 8, 2008 Posted March 8, 2008 (Goosebumps...) I think its really cool how you are doing different things for seasons of the year, especially the fall!
BuddyChrist Posted March 8, 2008 Author Posted March 8, 2008 Thanks! Breaking the updates up into seasons helps me tell the story of the park better and gives it a little more realism. Like in the Spring update, the water rides won't be open and in the Fall I can do a Halloween update. I love making little changes in between updates because it makes it feel like I'm creating something more than just a game simulation. It's a lot of fun! I hope people will follow the story closely and watch what is said and what actually happens!
BuddyChrist Posted March 9, 2008 Author Posted March 9, 2008 Thanks everyone! Fall Fest is coming very soon, just another teaser shot for now to show you how much spookier it looks now!

Mr. Illum praised Mr. Bryant for his work on the Haunted House, "Horror at the Hills". He commented "Last year all we had was a haunted walkway and some fog, this year the event was even better as the haunted house added even more fright to the night!." Mr Bryant added "We took many of the props from last year and out them into this temporary structure that we constructed quickly after the removal of the teacups, it came out better than I thought it would!" Both men hope to continue the even for years to come, making it bigger and better every year so it will become the premiere Halloween event in the area. Here is the photo update from the Fall! DBru Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 LIM Launched Coaster?!?! I think its amazing that you go all out for the fall season. I would be totally scared to go in the room with the clowns and the psychopath...lol. The Halloween event is just AMAZING!
BuddyChrist Posted March 10, 2008 Author Posted March 10, 2008 Thanks! I love doing the Halloween update the most! And nope, not LIM
AlmereStars Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 that looks really cool! the only thing I would change is the fountain, the color of the bloodfountains in that CS are just not right.. I would use a smaller fountain. but other than that it's really good!
Steffen_Dk Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 Wow that's creepy, but I must agree with Almere - the fountains looks out of place; they should be smaller
BuddyChrist Posted March 10, 2008 Author Posted March 10, 2008 I'll get on that then, I wish NF fountain's could be changed to red, but I tried using his blood fountain instead. Oh well, I'll adjust it and see how it looks for the second update! Thanks for the comments!
rckrazy06 Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 Spinning Coaster?(Ehmm, Zhambi Sidewinder, perhaps?)
BuddyChrist Posted March 10, 2008 Author Posted March 10, 2008 Good guess, but nope, that's not in my posession
BuddyChrist Posted March 13, 2008 Author Posted March 13, 2008 Vertical construction has begun on the new roller coaster for Year 3! No announcement yet on what it is but it will be very soon, stay tuned!
BuddyChrist Posted March 14, 2008 Author Posted March 14, 2008 Story from the Westworth Press 10/28/YR2 Illum Hills to open Inferno next Spring! Illum Hills is set to open their most extreme attraction yet, Inferno! Designed by Anton Schwarzkopf, Inferno will feature a climb 110 feet into the sky, two vertical loops, and speeds of 50mph! Construction has already begun on the new steel scream machine and it is set to open with the park for Year 3. When asked what made him add a new roller coaster, he replied "I took a ride on a Schwarzkopf over the Summer at Six Flags Over Georgia and I thought how perfect this ride would be for the park! Mr. Schwarzkopf came up with a great layout for the ride and I think everyone will be very satisfied with it come next season!" When asked about the financial situation, Mr. Illum commented "I am working closely with some investors to stabilize the park finances and keep Illum Hills open. I did receive an offer from Marriot to turn into an East Coast Great America, but I respectfully declined, I want this to be a family owned park." The Westworth Press was invited for another construction tour during the offseason so renew your subscription for the New Year to see it!
DBru Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 This sounds like a great idea! It's funny how you are taking the exact opposite approach of Indiana Adventures/SFIA, lol. But I can't wait to see the new coaster! Also, what year (date in time) is your park currently at? I mean, around what year did the park begin?
BuddyChrist Posted March 14, 2008 Author Posted March 14, 2008 Thanks! There's really no set timeline, it's loosely tied to our history, but right now the park is in the late 70s, early 80s.
DBru Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 ^Yep, that's what I was thinking. Now your park is even MORE realistic! It's great...
pkd freak Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 LOL, OOPPs, sorry for the assumption, well can wait to see the complete look of the Schwarzkopf.
BuddyChrist Posted April 25, 2008 Author Posted April 25, 2008 Sorry for the delay in updates, things got really hectic at college and I had no time to update my park! Please forgive me, now to pick up where I left off! Update from the park! From the Westworth Press Illum Hills, our local thrill center, has provided the Westworth Press with a look at its new roller coaster for Year 3, Inferno! Below is an artist's rendering of the new ride and it's surrounding area! Roger Bryant, the park's general manager, said construction on the ride is finishing up and the ride will be ready to open with the park for its 3rd season! Mr. Illum, owner of the park, commented that "The ride is really something to look at and I can't wait to see the faces of excited riders at the start of the season!"
