(Goosebumps...)

I think its really cool how you are doing different things for seasons of the year, especially the fall!

Posted

Thanks!

Breaking the updates up into seasons helps me tell the story of the park better and gives it a little more realism. Like in the Spring update, the water rides won't be open and in the Fall I can do a Halloween update. I love making little changes in between updates because it makes it feel like I'm creating something more than just a game simulation.

It's a lot of fun! I hope people will follow the story closely and watch what is said and what actually happens!

Park News:

Fall Fest was even bigger this year! Park Manager Roger Bryant helped plan out the entire even, moving last year's successful attractions around and adding a new walkthrough to scare guests. Mr. Illum praised Mr. Bryant for his work on the Haunted House, "Horror at the Hills". He commented "Last year all we had was a haunted walkway and some fog, this year the event was even better as the haunted house added even more fright to the night!." Mr Bryant added "We took many of the props from last year and out them into this temporary structure that we constructed quickly after the removal of the teacups, it came out better than I thought it would!" Both men hope to continue the even for years to come, making it bigger and better every year so it will become the premiere Halloween event in the area.

Here is the photo update from the Fall!

The fountain was dyed red for the event

For a quick, temporary attraction, Horror at the Hills is an impressive sight!

Which gets even better at night!

Even the windows contain scenes to scare those who walk by

Let's take a walk through the attraction!

The Entrance way

The first room, looking toward the left

Another angle of the scene

The scene on your right

The second room and its ghostly inhabitants

Heading into the third room

This place is creepy

The 4th room, with torture device and psychopath, they went all out!

Looking down the corridor

A guillotine as you enter the 5th room, watch your head!

Friendly clown bids you farewell

You've made it out alive, but you may not be so lucky next time!

Back into the park!

Looking down towards the Haunted Walkway

Passing Double Take, it's all done up again for the event

Entrance to the Haunted Walkway, a Skull has been anchored to the roof of the entrance

Costumed employees stalk you as you walk

That's it for Fall Fest, it's only going to get better according to Management!

One more update is in store for Year 2 as next year's attraction is announced! A hint has been provided by a friendly photographer who flew over the maintenance sheds on the far edge of the property!

Let the speculation begin!

The announcement and update is coming soon!

LIM Launched Coaster?!?!

I think its amazing that you go all out for the fall season. I would be totally scared to go in the room with the clowns and the psychopath...lol.

The Halloween event is just AMAZING!

Posted

that looks really cool! the only thing I would change is the fountain, the color of the bloodfountains in that CS are just not right.. I would use a smaller fountain. but other than that it's really good!

Posted

I'll get on that then, I wish NF fountain's could be changed to red, but I tried using his blood fountain instead. Oh well, I'll adjust it and see how it looks for the second update!

Thanks for the comments!

Story from the Westworth Press 10/28/YR2

Illum Hills to open Inferno next Spring!

Illum Hills is set to open their most extreme attraction yet, Inferno! Designed by Anton Schwarzkopf, Inferno will feature a climb 110 feet into the sky, two vertical loops, and speeds of 50mph! Construction has already begun on the new steel scream machine and it is set to open with the park for Year 3. When asked what made him add a new roller coaster, he replied "I took a ride on a Schwarzkopf over the Summer at Six Flags Over Georgia and I thought how perfect this ride would be for the park! Mr. Schwarzkopf came up with a great layout for the ride and I think everyone will be very satisfied with it come next season!"

When asked about the financial situation, Mr. Illum commented "I am working closely with some investors to stabilize the park finances and keep Illum Hills open. I did receive an offer from Marriot to turn into an East Coast Great America, but I respectfully declined, I want this to be a family owned park."

The Westworth Press was invited for another construction tour during the offseason so renew your subscription for the New Year to see it!

This sounds like a great idea!

It's funny how you are taking the exact opposite approach of Indiana Adventures/SFIA, lol. But I can't wait to see the new coaster!

Also, what year (date in time) is your park currently at? I mean, around what year did the park begin?

Posted

^Yep, that's what I was thinking. Now your park is even MORE realistic!

It's great...

Sorry for the delay in updates, things got really hectic at college and I had no time to update my park! Please forgive me, now to pick up where I left off!

Update from the park!

From the Westworth Press

Illum Hills, our local thrill center, has provided the Westworth Press with a look at its new roller coaster for Year 3, Inferno! Below is an artist's rendering of the new ride and it's surrounding area! Roger Bryant, the park's general manager, said construction on the ride is finishing up and the ride will be ready to open with the park for its 3rd season! Mr. Illum, owner of the park, commented that "The ride is really something to look at and I can't wait to see the faces of excited riders at the start of the season!"
