The first video from the Midwest Conquest is now up at my site. Part 1 features the first two days of the trip at Libertyland, Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom, and Holiday World. I won’t know for sure until I edit the rest of the videos, but I am anticipating 8 videos total to be released from the trip. With each video from the Midwest Conquest, I will also be re-releasing the video from the corresponding day on the East Coast Trek in 2004 since most people did not get to see those. The Williams Grove and Six Flags America videos are up now. Once I edit the next Conquest video, these three videos will be taken down, so get them now!

Please feel free to leave comments and criticism!

Being that I dont have that much experience in videos here are my takes...

Video I-

It seemed like you guys had fun. A good mix of the coasters and rides and you guys. Liked how you seperated the parks up so it wouldnt be confusing and have my thinking I could go to holiday park and ride a huge stand up coaster ! Dave needs to be on comedy central or something!! The Legend looks fun. Liked the music choice. Im not one to use "mainstream" music and this song really went with the video.

VideoII-

Wow the elephant on PKI's log flume really gets people wet vs PCar version! Liked the PKi employee interaction/talking, that looks good on the park! Would have liked to see more park footage but im sure you have it! Wasnt all that thrilled about the song 8) . Jay, never trust jonathan with a camera, especially when your sleep!

Video III-

LIked it alot. Those bumper cars reminded me why I dont ride in them. What, no antics from dave? The coasters were showcased pretty wellas well as several of the rides. What is up w/ that armored tank thingy?

Anyway nice videos. Thanks for sharing because I have never really seen video footage of those parks before and they seem to be places that should be on my "to do" list for next year!!

Thanks for your comments, Jarvis. Yes, the elephant on the Kings Island flume totally drenched us, whereas the Carowinds one is too weak to even reach the boats. Most of the footage you see in the videos is actually most of the decent shots that I got. I'm not quite as dedicated to filming as you are (don't think I would ever have the willpower to go to a park and not ride anything!), so I take out the camera when I have a chance, and don't really think about what I'm filming. No 'fashion show' from Dave at Indiana Beach, but don't worry, I think there is one more later in the week. Interestingly enough, Carowinds used to have a boat tag like the one at Indiana Beach (the armored boats and the guns), although the one at Carowinds did not have the weird train thing you could get on. They removed it in the late 90's, I believe.

Part IV is now up!

A few people will love this video, but most of you will absolutely loathe it. I did not have much footage for this day, and was really having a hard time motivating myself to edit the video, so I started messing around, and 2 hours later came out with the final product, which is a really weird and probably extremely irritating video. Enjoy.

The video from Six Flags New England on last year's East Coast Trek is also up for those who did not see it last year.

"WOW...That was pretty good. It was different but a good different. It grasp my attention the whole way thru. Music selection was awesome as well as the dancing ride op! Pretty impressive shots of shivering timbers. As well as the other coasters in the park!"

Maybe it was the way you held the cam, maybe it was the POV, maybe it was just me. I dunno. but when I watched your Dells video, while on the coasters, I could see the airtime these rides had, which kind of made it feel like you're on the ride and feeling this air time. it was pretty sweet.

Great stuff Jonathan! I hope you and the Whootah guys will appreciate a little 'tribute' you'll find in our Europe DVD!

I just watched your PKD segment again tonight too!

BTW, why do you have to be 18 to ride in Cyclops' back seat?

Because the 3rd drop has ejector air so violent you have to experience it for yourself.

It seriously feels like you're going to get torn out of the car. The video really doesn't do it justice.

And they do enforce that rule. There was a couple ladies that tried to bring their 10 year old daughter in that seat. The ride op grabbed the lap bar as it was half way down and told them to get out.
