denning Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 I am going to Disneyworld in two weeks for one night, our flight arrives at 9am on saturday and the parks are closing pretty early. One of the reasons we choose to stay onsite was for the free parking perk. We were hoping to go right to the park, does anyone know if showing a print out of our reservation is enough or do we have to check in first? I would love to save time and avoid the hassel of heading to the hotel first, is this possible? Also, I am short a one-day park hopper ticket (we have three for two people over two days). Any great no-expiration deals out there, or should I just spend the second day non-hopping with a one day pass?
robbalvey Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 You will need to go to the hotel first. They will give you a parking pass for your car. I do not think the reservation print out will be enough. --Robb
ebl Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 This is quite interesting, and I didn't know about it. Next time I go, I'll have to stay on-property again. The Extra Magic Hours is also a nice perk. Eric

When we stayed there a few weeks ago I remember them giving us our parking pass at the gate to our resort. You could try driving to your resort first, getting your parking pass, and then driving to one of the parks without actually checking in. This would cost you very little time. If you're going to the Magic Kingdom, you're probably best off using the resort's transport (bus, monorail, or boat) because that sequence of parking, taking the tram, then taking the boat/monorail into MK is an incredible time waster. You should be able to use the resort's transportation without checking in also.
pianojohn Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 If you do pay for parking, keep the ticket and the hotel will reimburse you. They did that for our friends who stayed on site with us but had not checked in yet.
Broadwayboy2007 Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 I havn't stayed on site since my frist time back in '92...my parents never liked paying so much extra. That's pretty cool about the parking though.
