IceDragon Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 So in about 2 weeks, our college is taking us to Disneyland Paris! They've advised we bring our own money, around £100, but a few friends don't believe this to be anywhere near enough. So what I'm asking is, is £100 enough to cover food (lunch & dinner) and any souvenirs. What do those who live in Paris think?
filipv Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 You can have two meals and some souveneers for 100 euro per person per day.
cobra_roll06 Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 Well how long are you going? I went with my school in May for 6 days and only took about £120 worth. I think I still had quite a lot when I came back.
Groteslurf Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 If you stay 2 nights with 3 days park, Gbp 100 being approx euro 150 should be enough if you watch out where you eat. Food & drinks are expensive in DLP but with 50 euro per day, you will not go to bed hungry and still have some money left for souvenirs. Some tips : probably breakfast is included at the hotel, so take the time for breakfast so that you can save some money on a complete lunch later that day. In the evening, there is a McDonald in Disney Village. Most probably the cheapest place to eat on Dlp ground. There is also an all you can eat buffet in Mainstreet (at the end of mainstreet, at your right if you're in front of the castle. I don't recall the name for the moment but it's easy to find) If you go by car/train, take water/soda's/... with you from home. You will save a lot by doing that.
SharkTums Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 ^That McDonalds is by far the worst in the entire world!!!!! It's always mobbed with people, it's hot in there, the food is bad...I may love McDonalds but that location pushes it for me!
larrygator Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 ^Is it more crowded than the one in Madrid?
Meteornotes Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 ^It's worse. At least the food at the Madrid one was fine. There's nothing redeeming about the DLP McDonald's. dt
SharkTums Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 Larry...I don't even know how to explain the level of crowds at the DLP McDonalds. Picture a McDonalds with 18 cash registers, (not all of them open of course), no lanes, an entire giant lobby filled out the doors, pushy and ruder people than in America...yeah it's an experience!
IceDragon Posted January 11, 2008 Author Posted January 11, 2008 Thanks for all the advice so far! I know there'll be many students who'll benefit from the advice. I guess the next question would be, how long are the queues this time of year? I can't wait! 2 weeks to go this sunday!!!
BarryH Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 If you really want to fill up, the Santa Fe Hotel has a dinner buffet for around 28 Euros.
MasterElwood Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 McDonalds: One Morning, we went to MD 4 Breakfast, and they had hand drawn pieces of paper on the registers like "we don´t take cash, please pay with credit card" or something like that!!! When i wanted to take a pic, a manager jumped between me and the register and screamed "no pictures". Than they removed all the papers in seconds!!!! (but of course - a pic was already taken...) Food in DLRP: this is an excellent site with all the restaurants of the resort and even the complete menues and prices!!! http://www.dlpfoodguide.com/index.php and btw: the lines are very short this time of year (maybe not at ToT because it opend just 2 weeks ago) MasterElwood
