Sir Clinksalot
http://www.thekcrachannel.com/weather/4610095/detail.html Anybody in NorCal feel this? 7.4 is no joke. Some posters over on MiceChat are reporting that they have been evacuated from places like Laguna Beach.

Sir Clinksalot
^ I know, that kinda sucked. They got us all hyped up for it and then ... nothing. Not even increased surf. Ugh.

Twister II
My friend was in Laguna Beach yesterday when the earthquake happened. She said she felt it. She was in the airport, getting ready to board her plane back to Colorado. I wonder if this is gona delay Robb's and Elissa's Europe trip?
phazan
well if they are taking off from south california, it probably wont do anything. i dont think there was any damage or anything because it was out in the ocean. (i think it was in the ocean at leased)
WalrusMan
Well once I saw where it was, away from the subduction zone, I knew there wasn't going to be a tsunami. Only going to happen on a subduction fault. But Comcast interuppted all programming lol.

That's probably about 800 miles away from the earthquake, I seriously doubt she felt it. Especially when people are reporing being less than 300 miles from the earthquake and not feeling anything. Edit: How funny, just to check I looked on Mapquest and it's actually 813 miles from Laguna Beach to Crescent City. I was pretty damn close. Angry_Gumball
I don't even think I felt this earthquake the other day. I just hope no more happen, increasing the chance of a tsunami otherwise I'll be learning how to surf real fast. I'm sure the SF Bay would probably tweak out although the hills across the bay (San Mateo area) make a nice shield from the coastline. I just hope no more earthquakes happen. I have way too many shelves in my room for this to happen and I don't have plans on learning to surf quite yet.
