steel Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 I didn't actually ride anything. That's not the twist, but you should know. It was Thanksgiving, I was with family. It wouldn't have been practical to go to the park. So I just stopped there on the way home to take pictures. Some parts of the park really don't look different at all, and some parts look like crash sites. Ghost Blasters looks really strange without MMR right next to it. The new store clashes terribly with its surroundings, but when everything else conforms to it, it will look better. Still no vertical construction anywhere. I saw a sign near Timberland Twister that hasn't gone up yet. It was facing down, so I don't know what it was for (Looty could probably tell you), but it's the same size and shape as the ones for RBP, Splat-O-Sphere, and Avatar. I assume that will be going up soon. Other than that, there really isn't much to tell. Now it's over. Thanks for reading. Hi, TPR. Or Yoda, for all you Star Wars fans. IKEA is basically Jesus in his natural form. !!! Yum. I <3 IKEA. Just kidding. No more Snoopy dish... What's that? You didn't catch the twist? Well, neither did I. Sorry. ... ... There's that store again. ... ... Coming back around to the other side of the Airbender site. I have to say, Snoopy is going to be sorely missed. ... Different angle. This is where that sign is. As does PBLC. Timberland Twister seems to be okay. ... How long have these snazzy ticket booths been there? ... ... ... Splat-O-Sphere and Avatar sites. I don't have real high expectations for this ride. It may surprise me. Merch. ... ... Omgfooter. Mechanical blah. They stood up that big yellow tube from the webcam. I still don't understand the dirt. That's just weird. Never seen that before. Thar she be. Coming up to the Euro-Fighter site. Construction around Ripsaw's lift. I expect this is what the normal style will be. The new store. From the third floor.
SharkTums Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 AWESOME!!! Major props for the Ratta picture!!! Oh, and Ikea sells baby food?!?! <>
thefitness Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 I'm so excited for a Spongebob coaster They didn't have those Rodent stuffed animals at Ikea Orlando!
Team Thriller Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 I'm really wondering how this park will turn out. Looking at the pictures (Which are really cool ) I think it might acually turn out well. Anyways, I hope so!
coasterdude5 Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 AH this place is gonna be awesome! I'm surprised it's taken this long for a spongebob-themed ride. I hope they repaint Timberline Twister though so there's not two orange coasters.
Sticky Nicky Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 ^I think Spongebob is going to be yellow, but it is still very close in colors. TT should be pink and green to fit it's new Fairly Odd Parents theme.
Looty Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 Nice TR. I had to work that morning and it was incredibly slow that day. I didn't notice that sign by TT so I'll check it out tomorrow night when I work. As for the dirt...A lot of people don't know this, but there isn't anything underneath the actual park...just land. So when they are digging and putting in supports, they are actually installing them into the actual ground. The basement runs under the outskirts of the mall. The current plans for TT (soon to be Fairly Odd Coaster) specifically state that the current color scheme will stay the same. Also, I'm almost positive that the colors for Spongebob will be Blue & Teal.
coastercrazed49 Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 Nice PTR. Looks like construction is going well, and soon there will be a second Eurofighter in the US!!!.
holyblakbelt Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 ^I think Spongebob is going to be yellow, but it is still very close in colors. TT should be pink and green to fit it's new Fairly Odd Parents theme. If thats the case with TT, Then why not just paint the track instead the supports since the ride has been open for about 4 years now? Good TRs are always better if you add an Ikea shot or two in them. But it's still a good TR.
