Axman
There is one of these going into DippieDoe Familiepark next year, so hopefully it will be like the X-car coasters that get better with the newer rides. The concept is good, but the ride is really short, and like has been said, it appears to be very rough. Dippie Doe is getting this one in particular; It's the one and only. I said that in the origonal post. I can't believe how shakey the loop is in the video. I was waiting for it to fall over.

natatomic
It used to operate on a fair circuit under the name "Cool and Fresh", but is now being built at the "DippieDoe" Amusemet park in The Netherlands. I suddenly have a strong desire to see a coaster called "Hot and Moldy."
CP_RULES
Quite a few older wooden coasters use chain connected to a center post in turns. You would really miss out on a lot of good classics if you didn't ride because they use cables/chains. I don't see the problem with cables anyway. If they are tension only members, a cable is the most efficient way to carry the load. I recall seeing cables used on Mean Streak, so it's not just the classics. OFortuna
Cool and Fresh is infamous. That ride is actually something like 7 years old and spent several years in testing. The rumor was that when it ran for it initial TUV certification it pulled something like 12 positive G's and got shelved for a few years.
schrubber
Thunder Dolphin also uses cable supports, BTW.
Moose
I thought i was a support fanboy, and i missed all these cables. **Hangs head in shame**
Axman
Basically, a ride held up by cables at a carnival screams "potentialy unsafe". Cables used by coasters at actual parks are just re-enforcement. Lots of woodies (I.E. Kentucky Rumbler) use cables on their fan turns too. Coastermaster
I was on this Cool&Fresh a view years ago in Crange. The only thing I can say is, horrible. At this time, the coaster was fresh, but not cool. If anybody will see this coaster in the future, don't ride it. Blue marks on your body are garanteed.
