BeatleBen Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 "Running 1 train on an 8 minute ride: Stupid." Smart when the park is that empty, adding trains would be pointless and only slow down operations. It's either that or they didn't have the staffing at the time to add another train.
Top Thrill Dragster Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 I was there yesterday too. ^ I agree that running one train on a day that was VERY empty was a good move. Personally I was surprised that they had two train operations on all the coasters.
californiascreamer1 Posted August 29, 2007 Author Posted August 29, 2007 Well.... the line was pretty long but i understand why they did it. It just took a while for it to come around. "I was there yesterday too. ^ I agree that running one train on a day that was VERY empty was a good move. Personally I was surprised that they had two train operations on all the coasters." Where were you all day?
Top Thrill Dragster Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 ^No, I got to the park at 1pm and stayed until closing. Got to see a roll back on Xcelerator.
rollercoast4me Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 A roll back would scare the hell outta me! I really need to go back to Knott's soon.
californiascreamer1 Posted August 29, 2007 Author Posted August 29, 2007 ^No, I got to the park at 1pm and stayed until closing. Got to see a roll back on Xcelerator. I cant believe i missed it! Were you on or around silver bullet when the kid vomited all over someone else?
snorkymn Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 Did school already start out there near Knott's? I didn't realize the park would be so dead at this time of year.
rollercoast4me Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 Yes school started on monday for the oc and la areas.
californiascreamer1 Posted August 29, 2007 Author Posted August 29, 2007 Well i Guess We Lucked Out On That One. But we got there the day winter hours started so there are pros and cons
Top Thrill Dragster Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 I cant believe i missed it! Were you on or around silver bullet when the kid vomited all over someone else? No, but some one threw up at the exit of Boomerang when I got off.
californiascreamer1 Posted August 29, 2007 Author Posted August 29, 2007 Oh Well, Did You Get On all The Rides Without Leaving The Station? Because We Did That Alot.
Gav Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 It seems everybody else who has been to knotts has had these quiet days where they could ride heaps. Too bad my visit consisted of being swamped by line jumping school kids. I think during the course of 7 hourse I got on Silver Bullet, Xcel, Riptide, Sky Cabin, Ghostrider, Sierra Sidewinder, Supreme Scream and that mine train thing. Montezoomas and perilious plunge were shut, didnt even attempt boomerang or bigfoot. Ah well, Silver Bullet, Ghostrider and Xcel were all awesome rides.
Goliath513 Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 Awesome trip report. Xcelerator needs a new paint job very badly.
kraxleRIDAH Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 Corona del Mar is apart of Newport Beach.
RIP Psyclone Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 Wow, is the girl in the blue tank top pregnant? L-O-L The kid who made this thread was banned, but I don't know if it was permanent or not.
californiascreamer1 Posted October 10, 2007 Author Posted October 10, 2007 Actually What Happened Was......, I Got a 24 hour ban for (stupid me) asking about the trips and when they would be done. but it went on for about half a month and no one corrected it so i finally e-mailed wes a couple of times and it was solved. Thank you to everyone who responded about the TR. Your comments are appreciated.
