robbalvey Posted June 2, 2005 Posted June 2, 2005 http://hawanja.com/polystation.htm#polystation Wow...so it's cool that they are making all kinds of wacky FamiCom (Nintendo NES) clones, but this is pretty strange!!! --Robb
CoasterFanatic Posted June 2, 2005 Posted June 2, 2005 I see a lot of this kind of stuff being sold in mall kiosks in my area. They change little things and hawk a game system that boasts over 40-50 games including some memorable titles as "Super Hector Bros." // Waiting for the kiosk to start carrying "Medallion of Honour II"
Homer Posted June 2, 2005 Posted June 2, 2005 If you ask me, these pirates don't know anything about product design... They really should take a photoshop class or something because those looked like something from MSPaint. Oh well, I need to get one of these systems and play classics like Textris, Legend of Selda, and Goose Hunt.
ChrisFL Posted June 3, 2005 Posted June 3, 2005 A friend of mine had a Polystation 1 and he's the cheapest person I know (and he knows too, as he jokes about it all the time) It's hilarious listening to him tell me how bad the "console" is. Can you buy one on food stamps? lol
YoshiFan Posted June 3, 2005 Posted June 3, 2005 I have seen those at almost every mall in my area as well. It's annoying because even though the games are old, the people selling them are still profiting on something illegal (since I doubt they bought the rights to put those games/roms in the system they are selling). I have reported it to Nintendo with the mall names and the name of the kiosks (through their piracy reporting part of the site) and Nintendo was supposedly going after all the stores/kiosks selling them and shutting them down but they have still been selling them for over a year.
Angry_Gumball Posted June 3, 2005 Posted June 3, 2005 I've seen these "PolyStations" at flea markets and at my local mall. I began laughing when I saw them at the flea market as you see this console appearing as a PSone yet playing some Super Mario Ripoff. The ones at the mall were slightly different. They were wireless Dreamcast controllers loaded with fake NES roms. I'm surprised these weren't called "Mega SleepCast"
